TAX RESEARCH ASSISTANTS – URGENTLY NEEDED:
JOB DESCRIPTION
The East African School of Taxation invites applications from research assistants to participate in a new research project on sustainable tax governance and global tax transparency. Applicants should have:
a) A law degree of high quality or a degree or diploma in a field related to taxation. Candidates about to graduate in any of these fields will also be considered;
b) Experience using online research tools including demonstrated ability to undertake print and online legal research, editing and preparation of high quality reports;
c) Strong interpersonal and written communication skills;
d) High personal motivation and self-management including ability to work for long periods and meet deadlines without the need for supervision;
e) Ability to work independently and within a team;
f) Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office.
Two research assistants will be appointed for the assignment. The successful candidates will need to commit to four months of full-time research. Due to limited staff resources, only selected candidates will be contacted.
