🛝✨ It’s finally here!

After months of planning and work throughout the summer, we’re so excited to officially welcome our students to Ashwood Glen’s brand-new playground! 💙

This new outdoor space was thoughtfully designed to be more than a place to play. It’s an extension of the learning environment—giving students opportunities to move, explore, take on challenges, problem-solve, build confidence, and connect with one another in new ways.

At Ashwood Glen, we believe learning happens everywhere. From the classroom to the outdoors, every environment can inspire discovery, creativity, collaboration, and growth. 🌿

We’re incredibly excited to offer this new space to our students and can’t wait to see the adventures, learning, and memories that unfold here!

🧡 Every Child Matters.

Today, our Ashwood Glen community came together in orange to recognize the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

Across our classrooms, students took part in learning and conversations about the histories and experiences of Indigenous Peoples, the legacy of residential schools, and why
listening, learning, respect, and reconciliation matter.

Days like today remind us that learning is also about understanding the experiences of others, reflecting on the past, asking meaningful questions, and considering how we can contribute to a
more respectful and inclusive future.

As an IB World School, we strive to nurture students who are open-minded, caring, reflective, and thoughtful about the world around them. 🌎

Today—and beyond today—we continue to listen, learn, reflect, and remember. 🧡

📚✨ Book Week at Ashwood Glen was full of Munsch magic!

This year, we celebrated Canada’s own Robert Munsch and the wonderfully funny, imaginative, and unforgettable stories that have inspired generations of young readers. 📖

Throughout the week, our students brought his stories to life through read-alongs, creative writing, classroom activities, and plenty of laughter! Our JMS students wrote letters to Robert Munsch and became reading buddies for our Casa students, while students across the school added to the fun by dressing up as characters inspired by some of their favourite books! 📚🎭✨

And, of course, no Book Week would be complete without discovering a new favourite at our Book Fair! đź“–đź’™

From sharing stories to stepping into the shoes of beloved characters, it was a week filled with everything we love about reading—laughing, thinking, imagining, and always wanting to
turn the next page. ✨
