Skyway Toastmasters Imagine, you are in front of a crowd and they clap after your speech. It is easier than you think. Join us just for one evening. Come see for free!

Skyway Toastmasters members are united in a commitment to provide a mutually supportive learning environment in which to develop our public speaking and leadership skills, self-paced, while sharing gut-busting laughs. We currently have over 25 members from all walks of life. They range in skill level from novice to advanced. When a new member joins, he/she is paired with a volunteer mentor who supports him/her through the development and delivery of the first 3 speeches.

Last night, Burlington Skyway Toastmasters hosted a Table Topics contest, where speakers tested their impromptu speaking skills.

Congratulations to Andy Harkness, Scott Black and Brianna Felts, who competed and placed in last night's competition. Andy placed first and will now compete in the area contest in March.

Many of us set goals to "communicate better" or "lead with confidence," but without a consistent environment to practice, those goals can easily slip away. If you’ve decided to make professional development a priority in 2026, there is no better time to start than now.

As the year draws to a close, Burlington Skyway Toastmasters would like to extend our warmest wishes to our entire Toastmasters community, friends, and supporters. Whether you’re a seasoned speaker, a curious guest, or a dedicated club officer, we’re grateful for the energy, enthusiasm, and camaraderie you’ve brought to our club throughout the year.

As we embrace the holiday season, our club will be taking a break until January 7th. This is a wonderful opportunity for everyone to recharge, spend time with loved ones, and reflect on the achievements and milestones we’ve reached together. We encourage you to enjoy the festivities, savor the moments, and come back refreshed and ready for another exciting year of growth and fun.
