What a privilege to be tired for having done the thing you once dreamt of doing.

SHIP™️ for Pediatricians is here. The first physician-created pediatric sleep program for the doctors who need it most.

This inaugural cohort carries decades of combined clinical experience. Subspecialists in pulmonology, neurology, developmental-behavioral pediatrics, and adolescent medicine. Physicians from academic centers, community practices, and some of the top children’s hospitals in the world. United by one truth: the desire to better serve their patients and families through the power of sleep.

This is the beginning. Not the arrival.

Stolen hours at this desk, patience from the people closest to me, and a vision finally taking shape. What launches now is one chapter of something much larger still unfolding.
Tired. Grateful. Just getting started.

To God be the glory. He is not finished yet, and neither am I.

Sleep is simple.

SHIP™ For Pediatricians (Beta) 04/09/2026

Most pediatricians see sleep problems every single week. Very few of us were ever taught how to manage them. Sleep is simple — but only once someone shows you how. SHIP™ for Pediatricians exists to do exactly that. Link below.

Excessive sleepiness in teenagers is one of the most overlooked and most mislabeled symptoms in adolescent health.

For caregivers: if your teen can’t get out of bed, crashes after school, or sleeps through weekends and still wakes up exhausted, that’s not attitude. That’s a symptom that deserves attention.
For clinicians: excessive daytime sleepiness in adolescents is frequently dismissed as laziness, poor sleep habits, or a phase. But when symptoms persist despite adequate sleep opportunity, a thorough evaluation is warranted.

The first step for both: rule out insufficient sleep syndrome, the most common cause of EDS in this age group. A 10–14 day sleep extension trial can be clarifying. From there, obstructive sleep apnea, delayed sleep phase disorder, depression, medication effects, and central disorders of hypersomnolence including idiopathic hypersomnia and narcolepsy, all need to be on the differential.

Excessive sleepiness is not a personality trait. It’s a clinical symptom. And it’s time we treat it like one.

Sleep is one of the most common concerns parents bring to your clinic.

But how much training did you actually receive in pediatric sleep medicine?

For most of us, not enough.

SHIP™ for Pediatricians is the evidence-based certificate program in Pediatric Behavioral Sleep Medicine that we should have had in training.

Created by Dr. Anya McLaren-Barnett , Pediatric Respirologist and Sleep Medicine Physician, this is not a sleep consultant course.

This is physician-grade clinical training built around your real practice.

After completing SHIP™ you will:

✅ Confidently assess sleep health across the full 0–18 age range
✅ Support neurotypical and neurodivergent children including those with ADHD, autism, and mental health comorbidities
✅ Implement evidence-based behavioral interventions and sleep training using a variety of methods.
✅ Expand your scope and manage more pediatric sleep patients in your own practice
✅ Walk away with a framework you can use the very next day in clinic

What makes this program different:

Your cohort is supported by a multidisciplinary team, a pediatric sleep psychologist, sleep OT, and behavioral therapist, engaging directly on real cases in the community board. Not just lectures. Actual collaborative clinical learning.

✅ 3-month self-paced program (~10–12 hours of content)
✅ 0–18 year range with deep focus on 9 months–3 years
✅ Monthly live case clinics (recorded)
✅ Clinical templates library
✅ Certificate of Training in Pediatric Behavioral Sleep Medicine
✅ Eligible for Self-Study CME credits

This is the beta launch. The founding cohort starts May 1, 2026 at the lowest price this program will ever be offered.

📅 Starts May 1, 2026
💻 $1,397 USD or 3 x $497/month
