Dhaka Commerce College was founded on July, 1989 with an aim to impart quality education to its students. Initiall, it was commerce oriented, but it has subsequently added to its stream other programs to make it an updated center of education. Housed in eleven and twelve storied building with excellent road communication it is situated half a kilometer off the national zoo anf the national botanical garden, Mirpur, Dhaka. It has, meanwhile materialize its dream to bring forth a university - Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT), which has already started functioning. An institution of distinction:

Study tour to different banks, firms, stock exchanges and tourist apots at home and abroad are organized regularly. There is no denying the fact that Dhaka Commerce College, by the time, has performed a habit of holding the top positions of the merit list. In the Higher Secondary level students from this college always top the merit list such as 1,2,3 along with other mentionable places. Similar is the case with Honors and Masters courses.
