Informative post from our friend 🙏👣
Not all positive heels are equal… especially when it comes to kids shoes or shoes for small feet!
This is the same model of shoe but the shorter the foot the bigger the effect of the 10mm drop. So if you’ve big feet, the drop is less of an issue.
For kids feet this becomes a concern.
Why do we put our kids in positive heels at all?
Maybe so they can get used to being in heels for the rest of their lives😜
We know a heel destabilises the ankle and all that cushioning reduces ground feel and subsequently movement awareness☹️
This will decrease their ability to run naturally🤪
When we combine it with sitting in a chair all day at school, hips don’t look after the feet so well any more, compounding the problem.😣
Anyway, next time you buy your kids shoes… check the heel height compared to forefoot height and if it’s not flat, ask yourself why?

Awesome post from our friends over Our mission is simple, to educate the world on the importance of foot health.
You may or may not know, but we are currently half way through a study, based in Sri Lanka, which we hope will help better inform people on the importance of footwear & its impact on their feet.
Teaming up with , we are now at a half way point & boy oh boy do we have stories to share with you all!
We’ve taken the most common foot type we have seen to date after a challenging 500+ people studied & wanted to share the most common thing we see, the great toe is straight & in alignment.
Now, let’s compare this to the west, where we are lucky to see this in 1 out of 15-20 people. This is the most common foot type we are seeing!! 😳🤯
Stay tuned for more information, continues throughout November! 😊

Always a pleasure posting this one from 🙏
Very well said by our friend 🙌

There is an underlying belief floating around that feet can’t support the body on their own. We tend to think they need extra support via orthotics, motion control shoes, or heavily cushioned shoes.
But we’re here to let you know—human feet are not a design flaw!
While there may be times or situations when extra support is merited, for the most part, feet will only need the support temporarily until they heal or are strengthened properly.
Here are just a few amazing bare foot technologies—
1. Your foot is stable tripod. Between two points at the ball of the foot and a point at the heel, your foot on the ground (or in a thin shoe that allows you to feel the ground) is very stable.
2. Fat pads are positioned under areas of weight-bearing for extra cushion and comfort.
3. The foot contains 3 natural arches: one just behind the ball of your foot, one on the outside edge of your foot and one on the inside edge of your foot. These natural arches help to support your feet and keep it from collapsing. They come in variable shapes and sizes.
4. The foot is capable of complex movements. These movements help to dissipate forces from the ground when you are walking or running. Feet are designed to pronate and become soft upon landing and to supinate when leaving the ground. Truly amazing!
If you read these and thought— but my feet don’t have that special technology—that’s okay! To perform optimally, your feet might need a little extra love. Check in with a foot-friendly specialist who can help enhance your natural foot mechanics.
