LITTLE SUPPORTS 3D IS TAKING A LITTLE BREAK THIS WEEKEND

After a very busy few weeks of markets, orders, printing and creating, we’re taking this weekend to slow down, spend some time together as a family and recharge.

Our messages and orders are still open, but replies may be a little slower than usual while we enjoy some much-needed family time.

Today is Nonverbal Awareness Day

Today, I want to remind everyone of something simple, but incredibly important:

All communication is good communication.

✨️Communication can look like sign language.
✨️It can sound like an AAC device.
✨️It can be a picture, a gesture, a facial expression, a body movement, a vocalisation, a PECS card, a written word, or even simply reaching for what someone needs.

Just because someone doesn’t communicate using spoken words does not mean they have nothing to say.

When a child or adult communicates in whatever way works for them, we celebrate it.

We respond to it. We honour it.

Because the goal isn’t always speech.

✨️The goal is connection.
✨️The goal is being understood.
✨️The goal is having a voice, whatever that voice looks like.

🎃 Halloween is fast approaching! 👻🧡

For some, trick-or-treating isn’t as simple as knocking on a door, choosing one treat and saying “thank you.”

Communication, waiting, knocking, choosing just one item, or speaking to someone they don’t know can all be difficult and that shouldn’t mean they have to miss out on the fun.

That’s why we’ve been creating Halloween visual communication supports to help make trick-or-treating a little easier and more inclusive.
