STATE CHAMPIONS!
Congratulations to Ellie and Sophie, who represented Met North with outstanding skill and determination at the QRSS 13–15yrs Girls Hockey State Championships in Cairns. The semi-final against South Coast was an absolute thriller, going right down to the wire and ultimately being decided in a tense penalty shootout—testing every ounce of composure and teamwork. Carrying that momentum into the final, Met North faced a strong Wide Bay side in another high-quality contest filled with intensity, skill, and relentless pressure from both teams. In the end, Met North held their nerve to secure the State Championship title. Ellie and Sophie were instrumental throughout the tournament, consistently delivering strong performances and playing key roles in their team’s success. Just as importantly, they embraced every moment on the big stage, making this an unforgettable campaign. 🖤💛

Congratulations to our four AFL stars, Leo, Carter, Veda and Charlotte, who proudly represented Met North at the recent State Championships in Townsville. Leo and Carter were appointed co-captains of the boys’ team and demonstrated outstanding leadership throughout the carnival, helping their team secure a 5th-place finish. Veda and Charlotte were pivotal members of the girls’ team, contributing strongly to an impressive 3rd-place finish overall. Special congratulations to Veda on her selection in the Queensland State Team, which will compete at the National Championships in Melbourne later this year. An outstanding achievement! Congratulations also to Leo and Charlotte, who were named as shadows for the Queensland team, recognising their excellent performances and potential. 🖤💛

Celebrating Our School Chaplains 💛🖤
This week, we recognise and thank our amazing school chaplains for the care, support and encouragement they provide to our students each and every day.
From Chappy breakfasts and sector fruit bowls to lunchtime activities and individual student support, their positive impact is felt across our entire school community.
Our chaplains are also putting together a team for this year's Bridge to Brisbane! If you'd like to get involved, check out the school newsletter for more information.
Thank you, Tim and Tully, for all that you do for our students and school community.
