What a fabulous experience - overcoming shyness to present an amazing speech. That's what toastmasters is all about - becoming more comfortable with who you are and who you aspire to be.

Anthea Wood and Jai Aguilar presented their 'Ice Breaker' speeches, seen here holding their Ice Breaker Trophies at Gaythorne RSL. Congratulations on a very succesful start on your confidence journey with Toastmasters.

It’s easy to admire a confident speaker. 🎤

What we don’t see are the drafts, the practice, the nerves, and the decision to keep showing up.

Confidence isn’t something you’re born with. It’s something you build. 💪

Honestly? Table Topics is where the magic happens.🎤
One minute you’re thinking ‘I have absolutely nothing to say’… the next you’re passionately defending why pineapple belongs on pizza.

Low pressure. Big laughs. Surprisingly addictive.

We love this excellent examples from another Queensland club 💕🎤💯

🔥 Hot Off the Toaster – April Edition! 🔥

From creative Table Topics to award-winning speeches, April gave us plenty to celebrate at Western Suburbs Toastmasters.

Congratulations to this month’s winners and grinners: including Cici Zheng, Helen Coates, Karen Kirk, Boris Cella, Simon Warwick and Anthea Wood 👏

That mix of encouragement, courage and “have a go anyway” energy is what makes our club special 💙

🎤 Public speaking sounds terrifying? 😱

Same.💯 😅

That’s why Toastmasters exists, we’re a diverse room full of people who are all a bit nervous, figuring it out together with a structured program. The best part is that it’s lot less pressure than you’d expect.

You can come, sit quietly, and judge us (lovingly) before deciding if you want to join in.

📍 Gaythorne RSL (upstairs)
🕡 6:15pm for 6:30pm
📅 1st, 3rd & 5th Tuesday

Some of us grab dinner/drinks downstairs beforehand too (moral support 😅)

Come see what it’s about, you’ll be very welcome 😊
