Melbourne represents a difficult chapter of my journey.
Years ago, I went there carrying a big dream for myself. But Next week, I will return carrying a much bigger one as I step into a new era of authenticity and advocacy, I’m returning as a very different version of myself.
Sometimes closure isn’t about going back to change the past.
It’s about going back knowing the past no longer defines you.
Somewhere between those two journeys came pain, growth, purpose and the privilege of supporting close to 900 dentists on their own journeys.
So yes, this trip is personal. But what comes next is much bigger than me.
I’m going back to advocate for overseas-trained dentists, create opportunities, build bridges, and connect with people who believe in the same future we do.
Because I believe our profession becomes stronger when talented dentists are given the opportunity to contribute — and meaningful change happens when the right people come together.
So if you’re a dentist, specialist, educator or leader who shares that vision, I genuinely want to meet you.
Perhaps one conversation becomes a collaboration.
Perhaps one collaboration creates opportunities for hundreds of others.
