🫶 YEAR 11 RETREAT 🫶
Our Year 11's recently took part in a meaningful retreat experience focused on leadership, connection, courage and personal growth. Throughout the retreat, students explored their personal values, reflected on the kind of leaders they are called to become, and strengthened their relationships through a range of activities including; developing their personal leadership brand, beach trust exercises, the flying fox, campfire reflection and the creation of the cohort pledge.

Grounded in the Josephite tradition, the retreat invited students to lead with compassion, inclusivity, courage and respect as they prepare for their final year of schooling.

We are proud of the way our Year 11 students embraced each challenge with energy, openness and heart. May they continue to carry the lessons, memories and friendships from retreat into their journey as senior leaders of Our Lady’s College. 💚💛

💕 STANDING TOGETHER 💕
This week, our OLC community are proudly recognising Bullying No Way: National Week of Action, with students coming together to celebrate kindness, respect and inclusion.
From Human Bingo and our Prayer Wall with Ribbons initiative, to the much-loved Lunchbox Concert on the Hill, the week was filled with opportunities to connect, encourage one another and strengthen our sense of belonging. 🫶🏽

Together, we're creating a community where everyone feels seen, valued and supported. 💚💛

CELEBRATING NATIONAL SCIENCE WEEK
🚀 First Place Among the Stars! 🌟🥇

A huge congratulations to our talented Year 10 students, who recently took out FIRST PLACE at the QUT National Science Week Innovation Challenge! 🎉

Tasked with solving a real-world problem, our team designed an innovative greenhouse to help feed astronauts in space, combining creativity, scientific thinking and teamwork to impress the judges.

Their winning design showcased the curiosity, ingenuity and problem-solving skills that National Science Week is all about, highlighting the future of STEM is bright at OLC! 💡🔬🌱🚀

We are incredibly proud of this outstanding achievement and can't wait to see where their ideas take them next. Congratulations ladies! 👏✨

CONGRATULATIONS KATRINA
We are incredibly proud to share that Katrina Lipiatt, our outstanding Laboratory Assistant, has been awarded the Winner in BCE Excellence Award for a School-Based Non Teaching Role.

Katrina was selected as the top recipient from more than 160 nominations across Brisbane Catholic Education, an extraordinary achievement that reflects her dedication and expertise.

Our students are certainly lucky to have you as part of the OLC community!

Last week our Year 12s celebrated the friendships, laughter, achievements and unforgettable moments that have shaped the Class of 2026. 🫶🏽🎓

As the countdown to graduation begins, we encourage our leaders to embrace every opportunity, support one another and make the most of these final days together. The finish line is in sight, but there is still so much to achieve. Stay focused, stay connected and finish strong. 💪

💚 DEEP DIGS ON THE GOLD COAST 💚
A huge congratulations to our nine OLC students who recently competed in the Volleyball Queensland Senior Schools’ Cup on the Gold Coast! Over three days of competition, the team represented Our Lady's College with pride, determination and outstanding sportsmanship. They fought hard in every match, showed incredible resilience and made significant improvements throughout the tournament. Ladies, congratulations on your effort, teamwork and positive attitude displayed both on and off the court! 👏✨🏐

Congratulations to our incredible music students who proudly represented OLC at the Queensland Catholic Schools & Colleges' Music Festival (QCMF) at villanova.college.
Our Choir delivered a beautiful performance, earning a Silver Award, while our College Band wowed audiences with an uplifting performance, taking home Gold! 🥇✨

We are incredibly proud of the dedication, talent and teamwork shown by our students, as well as the staff who supported them on their musical journey. 🎵💚💛🎶
