Such a lovely afternoon at The ALG Experience in Brisbane today!

A big thank you to Linden and Louise for the invitation and for having us. It was great catching up with the ALG team, learning more about their courses, upcoming intakes and pathways, and of course enjoying some of the activities along the way 😊

Always nice to get out, connect with our education partners and have some good conversations outside of the usual emails and meetings.

On Thursday, 10 September, OEVS Brisbane is bringing seven universities into one room for our Nursing Open Day.

If you’re looking at a Bachelor of Nursing, moving on from a Diploma of Nursing, considering a pre-registration nursing pathway, or simply trying to work out what your next step should be, come in and have a proper conversation with the universities.

Joining us on the day:

You’ll be able to ask about courses, entry requirements, credit, intakes, placements and the different nursing pathways available.

We’ll also be offering free one-to-one consultations with a Registered Migration Agent from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm for nursing students who would like to better understand migration pathway options relevant to their circumstances.

🎉 Another Nursing Student Visa Granted! 🇦🇺🩺

While we’re busy preparing for our OEVS Brisbane Nursing Open Day on 10 September 2026, it’s always exciting to receive news like this!

A Student Visa (Subclass 500) has been granted for one of our students from the Philippines, who will be studying the Bachelor of Nursing at the University of Tasmania. 🇵🇭✈️🇦🇺

Congratulations to our student! We’re very happy to have been part of the journey and wish them all the very best as they begin this exciting new chapter in Australia.

And the timing couldn’t be better — with our Nursing Open Day coming up, we’re looking forward to meeting many more students who are considering nursing studies and exploring their options in Australia.

We’re pleased to share that Western Sydney University will be joining the OEVS Brisbane Nursing Open Day 2026.

Students will be able to meet WSU staff in person and ask about nursing courses, entry requirements, study pathways and the application process.

A key option for applicants without a nursing background is the Master of Nursing Practice (Preregistration), which can provide a pathway into nursing for those who already hold a degree in another field and are looking to work towards becoming a Registered Nurse.
