Connection allows learning to flourish. For us , child safety is embedded into the way we care, teach and support children every day…..
From ongoing Child Protection and safeguarding training, to active supervision reflection meetings, daily safety checks, safe sleep practices and First Aid and CPR training, our teams are continually building their knowledge and strengthening their practice. The joy of nature ! It’s our favorite month! Spring! Children explore and enjoy everything nature has to offer at Seeds Ballina. Barefoot nature play provides rich sensory input, lets children experience different textures and temperatures, and can support balance, coordination, body awareness and development of the small muscles of the feet.

Balancing child safe with human needs …. It’s always a good conversation 🤎🤎🤎

Recently we had someone ask if we had any blog posts on appropriate affection in early education and care, and on pondering the question I realised that not only did we not have anything, but that it was a minefield of a topic! So I am wading into it cautiously, sharing my experience and thoughts.

TO ALL Our SEEDS families !!! What a wonderful way to soak up some of natures medicine ! 🌳

✨Introducing the Wondertrail at Mullumbimby's Heritage Park.

An exciting new project, The Wondertrail, launched over the weekend across Heritage Park and Maslen Arboretum in Mullumbimby.

Designed for children under ten and their families, the trail combines a beautifully illustrated activity guide with an interactive soundscape experience accessible via QR codes along the route.

The Wondertrail starts at the Mill Street entrance to Heritage Park where a small number of printed guides are available from a brochure box.

Alternatively, people can download and print a guide, and pack it along with pencils, crayons and a device that is connected to the internet that will allow people to listen to the soundscape.

The Wondertrail runs until 1 June.
