Today Windsor SS celebrated 2026 Book Week with our annual parade. Thank-you to Mrs Mattsson and Mrs Olivieri for such a brilliant parade filled with celebration and lots of smiles. We saw many wonderful and colourful characters around Windsor today!

And that’s a wrap for our Year 6 Canberra Trip, as we await boarding at Sydney Airport ahead of our 4:30pm arrival back in Brisbane. We look forward to seeing happy kids reuniting with their loved ones soon 🤩☺️💙❄️💪👍👏

Friday's Garden Club students worked hard to keep our new flowers, Windsor Fest plants and garden beds well-watered. Using watering cans and recycled milk bottles helped students carefully manage water use and ensure every drop counted.

Some tactical manoeuvring on and off the slopes today saw our Year 6s enjoy some ski action at Thredbo adjacent to Mt Kosciusko in the beautiful surrounds of the national park. On the road to Cooma now for dinner at the hotel and then back to our warm beds. Off to Sydney in the morning to see the harbour then home on VA0951 at 4:30pm. See you all inside the airport at the gate then. Some big hugs incoming ☺️🧡💙❄️☃️⛄️🏂🎿

Day 3 dished up blue skies and light breezes for our Year 6s in Canberra. Trivia underway tonight to test our learning and an early start tomorrow in order to head up to the Snowy Mountains. Parents, the kids all say hi!! 💙👌💪🤩

2A and 2B spent the day at City Hall and the Museum of Brisbane today. Their excursion was around learning about Brisbane and how it has changed by engaging in immersive and hands-on learning.

Instrumental Music Parent Information Session on tonight. Our incredible Instrumental Music teachers Kim Fanning and Victoria Taylor talking to parents about our IM program for 2027. Great audience participation too!

Parent helpers on the Year 2 excursion today to City Hall and the Museum of Brisbane received a very special bag from Mrs Pinches. There were all sorts of goodies for these parents - tissues, band aids, hand sanitizer, a Kit Kat and a Windsor Warrior card! Thank you WSS parent helpers, for all that you do!
