Welcome back to another week of learning and fun, we hope you had a fantastic weekend. It was a went start to the day as the rain returned, we didn’t let that rain our morning through. We joined in the toddler room for free choice play and waited for our friends to arrive. Soon it was pack up time and then on the mat to perform our Acknowledgment of Country and songs in a Turrbal language. Next we grabbed our belongings and headed to our room for the morning.

In the room we sat down and went through the play for the day and some room rules and expectations. It was now time to choose an area to play do off we went. Some children were brick building , others were constructing car using the stretchy tubes and wheels, one table had caterpillar number and the last had magnetic letter. Later we all helped pack away, went to the bathroom then joined on the mat for group time. We started by greeting our friends and educators, we checked the roll. First we did phonemic awareness, we have gotten very good at identifying rhyming word pairs, we did some segmenting of words and blending sounds then finished with deleting and adding sounds. After phonemic awareness we practised our letter sounds and then we used the alphabet flash card to identify the sound of each letter shown, we then moved o to some counting and days of the weeks asking well before finishing with choosing the leader for days. After group time we washed hands and went to morning tea.

After morning tea we returned to our room where we played for the rest of the morning. Out on the tables were new activities, we did paper plate painting, another mat have letter ,numbers and shapes bean bag,Second had whiteboards to practise writing and fine motor skills. There were some blocks on the mat for building and a colour sorting activity too. We finished the morning play and children did group exercise on the mat. After our exercise video we read a book about itchy bear. Then beds were brought out and made and we watched forest animal’s until lunch. That’s all from us, see you all next time!

Toddlers Daily Blog with Miss Maddy

Hello everyone, welcome back! This morning friends arrived slowly s we explored some free choice play and later transitioned for group time. We started ‘BOOK WEEK’ by reading ‘Where is the green sheep?’. Toddlers were very engaged as they listened and showed curiosity. We then had our morning tea before transitioning inside where friends did a craft related to our book of the day. Using green paper, cellophane and tissue paper our friends glued it onto their sheep’s! Then friends explored the do tors set as they checked friends' heart and temperature, others created windy train tracks for the cars, some read quietly while others explored animal puppets! We then had another group time after cleaning up. Here we acknowledged the land, sung bumblebee, counted 1-10 and practiced our ABC, we also used shape and emotion flashcards to strengthen cognitive and language skills. And to finish up, friends requested to read our book of the day again before making our way to the dining room for lunch. Everyone filled their tummies up and are now resting their bodies. That’s all from us for today, bye for now.

Nursery Daily Blog with Miss Prabh

Happy Monday, everyone! We hope you all enjoyed your weekend. We started our morning by exploring our room environment and welcoming our friends. The children chose their favourite toys and found places to play and explore. Soon, it was time for morning tea. Everyone sat calmly in their highchairs while waiting, and our little friends enjoyed fresh fruit and delicious fruit purée.

After morning tea, we decided to stay indoors due to the rainy weather. The children engaged in a variety of activities, including playing musical instruments, pushing shopping trolleys around the room, sitting inside the little fort, reading books, cuddling soft toys, and exploring the activity table. Marcus was especially happy to see our new nursery friend. He was very excited and kept calling out, “Baby!” It was lovely to see his curiosity and excitement as he welcomed his new friend. As our busy morning came to an end, we settled down to relax and enjoyed watching some musical videos. The children then took turns having their nappies changed before sleep. With our tummies full and our little bodies tired after a busy morning of learning, exploration and play, everyone is now resting peacefully. Bye for now , see you tomorrow.
