🚒 Fire Brigade and Fire Truck Incursion! 🔥
Today, our children had an exciting visit from our local Fire Brigade! They explored the fire truck, learned about the important role firefighters play in keeping our community safe, and discovered some of the specialised equipment used during emergencies.
The experience encouraged curiosity, supported the children’s understanding of fire safety and helped them feel more confident and familiar with community helpers.
A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful firefighters for taking the time to visit, answer the children’s questions and provide such a memorable learning experience! 👩🚒👨🚒🚒

🌈 Learning Through Playdough 🌈
Today, our children enjoyed exploring and creating with playdough. As they rolled, squeezed, pinched and shaped the dough, they strengthened the small muscles in their hands and fingers—important skills for drawing, writing, using scissors and completing everyday tasks.
Playdough experiences also encourage creativity, imagination, concentration, problem-solving and sensory exploration. Through sharing materials and discussing their creations, children build confidence, language and social skills.
This experience links to the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF):
⭐ Outcome 3: Children develop wellbeing, coordination and fine-motor strength.
⭐ Outcome 4: Children become confident and involved learners through creativity, curiosity and problem-solving.
⭐ Outcome 5: Children communicate their ideas and develop skills that support early literacy and writing.
Learning is so much fun when little hands are busy creating! 💙
