REMINDER: LANTITE Test Window 4 registration opens tomorrow morning (Thursday) between 10 am and 12 pm and will close at 5 pm (local Melbourne time) on October 13. This will be the final test window for 2020 and is open to anyone who wishes to attempt it. Test dates will run from November 5-19.

To register, follow this link: https://teacheredtest.acer.edu.au/register/test-dates

Be advised that if you have not attempted LANTITE (both components), you must do so in Test Window 4 (2020) if you plan on enrolling in EUB343 or EUN231 in semester 1, 2021. No requisite waivers will be granted for these units due to LANTITE and failure to have attempted both components will see your progression delayed.

For students who have not met the benchmark in one or both components, you must do so before you can enrol in EUB444-2, EUB444, EUN231-2 or EUN232 as your final Professional Experience cannot be taken until this course requirement is complete. If you plan on taking any of these units in Semester 1, 2021, you must attempt LANTITE in Test Window 4, 2020 or you will not be able to enrol as no requisite waivers will be granted meaning your course progression will be delayed.

Test dates | Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Teacher Education Students | ACER ^ Registrations open between 10am-12pm on the first day and close at 5pm AEST/AEDT (local Melbourne time) on the last day for all test windows.

Numeracy: This week we examine a range of proportional reasoning strategies and try to answer one simple yet important question: When do I multiply and when do I divide?
We will go through:
- Writing and manipulating a ratio
- Drawing diagrams, dual number lines and tables
- Writing and solving an equation
- Interpreting ratio & proportion graphs
As always, take good notes, review your answers, and aim for mastery of the content!

Week 4 of Bootcamp is here! It's time to get back into the LANTITE gym and smash out some reps. Here's what's on this week.

LITERACY:
Workshop: we will look at results from the practice test we did last week and focus on how to deal with question types that caused the most difficulty. We can identify areas of literacy to focus on in order to be well prepared.

Online Module: will focus on commas and semi-colons, responding to texts that include visual components, and more reading comprehension and vocabulary practice.

NUMERACY:
Did you know that 70% of statistics are made up on the spot? Well, this week there is a high probability that you'll find out whether that is in fact true as you work through the final set: Statistics and Probability. We will look at:
- Calculating mean, median and mode
- Interpreting data tables and graphs such as scatterplots
- How to make and use a box and whisker plot
- How to use a Venn diagram to calculate conditional probabilities

This week's set will finish with the self-check quiz.
