We’re pleased to share that from January 5th, families will benefit from the Government’s new initiative offering 3 days of free childcare. This program aims to support families by making early learning more accessible while encouraging every child to engage in quality education and care during their early years.

At Hamilton House Early Childhood Centre, we’re proud to participate in this initiative, giving families the chance to experience our warm, nurturing environment and play-based learning programs at no cost for three days.

Our friends had such an exciting day out at Coles! We walked together safely, practising our road safety skills along the way. Once inside, the children helped collect groceries, scan items, and even pay at the checkout.

It was a wonderful hands-on experience that encouraged independence, teamwork, and real-life learning skills.

At Hamilton House, our friends had a wonderful time learning all about money and different currencies from around the world! We explored coins and notes, talked about what they’re used for, and even practiced counting money together. The children were so curious and excited to see how money looks different in other countries, sparking lots of great conversations and questions. This activity helped build their early numeracy skills while encouraging their curiosity about the wider world!

🐹🐥 At Hamilton House, we love giving children opportunities to connect with animals! Our centre pets, Oreo and Spot the guinea pigs, along with our adorable chicks that are growing into chickens, are a big part of our day.

Every morning, our friends get to say hello to them in the foyer, help feed them, and watch them grow. These little moments not only bring so much joy but also teach children about responsibility, care, and kindness.

Our children had the best time exploring their creativity with chalk drawing on the ground during outdoor play. 🌈 It’s always wonderful to see their imaginations come to life, and we love providing a wide variety of activities throughout the day to keep them engaged, stimulated, and smiling. 💛

✨ Father’s & Family Day Celebration ✨

We are so happy to have celebrated Father’s and Family Day with our wonderful Hamilton House community! 💙 It was such a joy to see our families come together to celebrate our children.

Our talented staff and children prepared a heartfelt performance dedicated to their families, followed by fun games that had everyone laughing and joining in. We loved seeing the amazing energy and creativity from our families who came dressed up and ready to celebrate!

Events like these are more than just celebrations—they are meaningful opportunities for families, children, and educators to connect, build relationships, and feel the love and support that make our community so special. 💫

It’s Science Week at Hamilton House!

This week, our Kindy friends have been exploring the wonderful world of science in fun, hands-on, and independent ways.
They have been:
• Investigating textures by crushing different items to see and feel how they change.
• Mixing food colourings to discover how new colours are created.

We love our theme weeks because they inspire fresh ideas, spark curiosity, and offer exciting opportunities for our friends to learn through play.

At Hamilton House, we love bringing our community together through special events and experiences. This week, one of our wonderful parents brought in their four adorable dachshund puppies for our friends and staff to enjoy.

It was a heartwarming experience where the children learned how to be gentle, caring, and safe around dogs. Overall, an important lesson in empathy and respect for living things.

One of our favourite things to do on these beautiful temperate afternoons is group activities! Today we enjoyed playing with the parachute we sang rhymes, hid underneath, and shared plenty of laughter. Other days are filled with fun like ring toss, egg and spoon races, and so much more.

This week, our kindy friends had the chance to make pancakes. With support from Miss Harpreat, they learned how to flip their own pancakes and enjoyed tasting the delicious results. It was a beautiful moment of learning, laughter, and connection.
