I’ve been quiet lately. We had the flu. School holidays were busy. Book sales have been slow.
But yesterday I had a lovely customer come up to me and share some beautiful feedback about how much she loved my book and how it helped her son feel included. 🥹 He loved it so much he even took it into school and his teacher read it to the class and she loved it too! And that’s what keeps me going. Moments like these, where I know my book is having an impact on the little people who need it most. 🥰

Last week we visited Hamilton Island for the first time! Unfortunately, the trip started with half of us having the flu and my daughter was so sick she couldn’t fly. But after an extra day of rest, we were able to reschedule flights and join the others!
It was rather windy so some of our activities were cancelled, but we still had a beautiful trip.

It’s been a busy term and now that school is over, we’ve got the flu 🤦🏼‍♀️ Sorry I’ve been quiet on here lately!
So here’s a short clip of our beautiful mulberry tree that I’m so grateful we planted. They grow very quickly, are low maintenance and always have an abundance of fruit, twice a year! Highly recommend planting one if you can! The kids (and my chooks) love them. 🥰 We had so many that we made jam!

- coconut cream 🥥
- banana 🍌
- mango 🥭
Whiz together, pour into moulds and freeze!

Having food allergies has meant that we are always experimenting when it comes to recipes and creating safe alternatives. These are a winner in our house and perfect on hot days! ☺️

Today I delivered 21 donated books to Queensland Children’s Hospital through the beautiful Expand Your Library Ally Lab! 🤩

Thank you to all the wonderful people who donated a book! We had 16 in total, plus the extra 5 donated myself. 🥰
