There’s something special about sharing a book together. In our everyday early childhood setting, reading with children is a wonderful opportunity to build language, vocabulary and communication skills.
As we look at the pictures and turn the pages, we utilise vocabulary to talk about what we can see, introduce new words, ask questions, make predictions and encourage children to share their own ideas and experiences.
