What a fin-tastic day out at The Fish Girl’s Seafood Showcase at Manly Harbour Village! 🐟🦐🦞

Despite a few rain clouds trying to steal the show, the waterfront was buzzing as we celebrated Queensland seafood and caught up with some brilliant industry friends.

Our Director, Meaghan Dodd, enjoyed plenty of familiar catch-ups with Umar Nguyen Nguyen, Claire, Lisa and Jayne, as well as meeting Dave and John from the Moreton Bay Seafood Industry Association (MBSIA).

Always great to get out, support our industry and celebrate the people who make it so special!

Our Director, Meaghan Dodd, attended MINTRAC's Meat & Greet: Networking Mixer last week and caught up with Mark and Lyle.

Although we were like a fish out of water at a meat-focused event, the evening was filled with meaningful conversations, valuable insights, and new connections. Events like these remind us of the importance of collaboration, continuous learning, and building strong professional relationships even across different industry sectors.

Thank you to the organisers and everyone who made the event engaging and worthwhile!

Last Friday was a big moment for us, and one we’re incredibly proud to share!

ClearCut Seafood Training, in partnership with the Seafood Industry Association (QSIA), were honoured to receive the People Development Award at the 2026 Queensland Seafood Industry Awards.

As a business less than six months old, this recognition reinforces our belief that meaningful impact is built through collaboration, trust, and a genuine commitment to developing people across the seafood industry.

Our sincere thanks to Australia for sponsoring the award, Seafood Marketers Association for hosting such a wonderful night, all the event sponsors, QSIA for their continued partnership, and the broader seafood community for the trust, support, and belief in what we’re building.

We’re grateful for the journey so far and excited for what’s ahead. 💙
