Just a few memories from 2022. Sadly we are closing down in a few weeks. I have been blessed to work with such wonderful children and families. Ive enjoyed watching each child grow and form their own unique identity's and personality and will miss each of them.

A range of Holistic Learning opportunities today making our raspberry crumble with our very own harvested raspberries. They enjoyed tasting two versions of this, one served hot with ice-cream and the other served as a cold slice topped with dark chocolate. We had very satisfied children today after these moreish snacks.

Here at Windsor Cubs we continue to embed connection to country, with daily practices and experiences in our natural learning environment.
Last week some of our activities involved making Damper, harvesting some native raspsberries and getting creative with nature painting.

I love nothing more than seeing the children enjoying homegrown food. They know where all their favourite items grow and run over to check if they're ready each day.

These little nature's assisted in trying out some new gardening hacks this week. We planted some potatoes, peas, bok choy and pak choi. We will continue to monitor the growing process over the coming weeks.

Musical vibe happening to brighten up the rainy day with an added bonus of this little ball of fluff spending the morning with us. We had the opportunity to discuss the role of caring for our animals. Child X was able to articulate all information and questions asked about her pet dog. The other children showed kindness and a caring awareness towards the dog.

Alphabet Autumn sensory tray, where the boys could experiment with cause and effect and trial and error. They used their fingers and sticks to manipulate the sand to practice writing letters.
The boys were very enthusiastic to make our Autumn trees for our display. I placed two colours red and yellow which they mixed together with their fingers and got creative.

We made 3 lots of colourful playdough creating the Aboriginal Flag and talked about everything Australian. Such as the native animals, the beautiful weather, beaches, and hinterlands.
The children loved creating prints in the dough and made some snakes and echidnas.

Wednesday was Earth Chakra Day.
We did a short demostration placing the different colours on our chakra points.
For the chakra activity they had to match the colours and stick them onto the different points on the body. We also made little Earth moulds for them to hang at home.

DYNAMIC home-based childcare educator REQUIRED!
Are you passionate about working with children 1-4years old? Are you looking for a limited amount of hours? Is a small nurturing environment preferred?
At Windsor Cubs we are looking for an experienced educator to provide support in our home-based setting. The role is for one day per week and casual cover on a need-to-basis.
Monday 9am - 5pm
Our new Educator is reliable, able to work independently and with initiative.

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications
All candidates must meet the following minimum criteria and provide copies of the following:
- Two years minimum previous experience working with children in the early years essential.
- Hold a childcare related qualification
- Hold a current positive police check, Blue Card or Working With Children Check in line with state requirements or willing to obtain
- Criminal History Check - National - current or willing to obtain one (less than 6 months old)
- First Aid certificate or willing to obtain

The boys had fun making Christmas gifts for their mum's. We made aloe vera soap and some peppermint epsom bath salts. Also some Christmas biscuit treats for them. Have a lovely Christmas everyone.
