SPECIAL GUEST SPEAKER, VICKI WILSON

This morning our Year 5 students had a visit from Vicki Wilson OAM. Vicki spoke about the qualities and values of leadership in sport and what this has taught her about life. She also answered the many questions students asked her. This was an amazing experience for our future student leaders!

Over the weekend our Pullenvale SS Netball Academy students proudly competed in the Netball QLD Primary Schools Cup, joining 110 teams from 64 schools across Queensland.
We are so proud of our players for their teamwork, determination and sportsmanship throughout the weekend.
A heartfelt thank you to our staff and families for your time, encouragement, and support over the weekend. Your commitment helps make opportunities like this possible for our students.

Day 5- nearly home!
A huge day today. Leaving our fabulous and frosty campsite area then travelling to Parliament House, Australian Royal Mint, National Gallery of Australia and finally the War Memorial. One of our students found her Great Great Grandfather on the Roll of Honour and placed a poppy she’d brought from Brisbane. An amazing end to a wonderful week. Our students have been praised for their knowledge, curiosity, eagerness to engage in all of the educational and fun experiences and respect for our nation's capital.

A Day of Democracy, Discovery and Design!

What an incredible day of learning and adventure! Our students travelled by taxi into Brisbane to visit Parliament House, where they had the exciting opportunity to witness a live sitting of Parliament and hear the Premier, David Crisafulli, speaking in the chamber. It was a fantastic opportunity to see democracy in action and connect our classroom learning with the real world.

After Parliament House, we walked across to South Bank and enjoyed a lovely lunch together before heading to SparkLab. Students had a fantastic time experimenting, investigating and exploring a range of hands-on science activities. They were challenged to think creatively, solve problems and put their design and engineering skills to the test.

It was a wonderful day filled with learning, curiosity, teamwork and plenty of fun! Our students represented the school beautifully and embraced every opportunity to learn beyond the classroom.

Canberra Trip - Day 4
A little bit slower today but still jam packed. Our students learnt a lot at the Electoral Education Centre, National Portrait Gallery, and the Australian National Botanical gardens. We finished off a busy day at the Dinosaur Museum. A real variety of activities and experiences.
