WASABI KIDS JAPANESE CULTURAL INCURSION
Our whole school enjoyed an immersive journey into the rich tapestry of Japanese culture during today's incursion.
Our Prep-Year 1 students dived into Japanese culture through engaging activities such as action songs, the Sakura dance, interactive games, traditional clothing experiences, folk tales, origami, and a fun samurai puppet performance.
Year 3 and 4 experienced what a Japanese school sports day looks like, with activities such as the giant ball race, wacky races, ball toss and more.
Year 5 and 6 discovered the secrets of ninja and samurai, exploring codes, meditation practices, and the unique skills of these historical figures through puppetry, interactive lessons, and activities inspired by ancient Japan.

YEAR 5 PEEC EXCURSION
This week our Year 5 students, as part of their biological science unit, turned into Environmental Advocates during their visit to Karawatha Forest. The PEEC excursion's aim is to teach students about the environment by immersing them in exciting stories about people and their strong connections to place. While out in the forest, students became part of a story that they have already begun in class, all the while practicing Dadirri.
