Pullenvale SS Student Council Disco – A Night to Remember! 🎶

The Pullenvale SS Student Council Disco was a huge success last night! Our students had an amazing time dancing, catching up with friends and showing off their wonderfully crazy costumes. The energy on the dance floor was incredible, and it was fantastic to see so many smiling faces enjoying the night.

A huge thank you to Harlow, our Arts Captain and DJ extraordinaire! Harlow brought incredible energy and enthusiasm to the night. Her DJ skills and ability to keep the crowds dancing were truly electric!

A special thank you to Emily, our Student Council Captain, and the entire Student Council, who worked tirelessly on the door, in the tuckshop and on the dance floor to help make the night so much fun for everyone.

Thank you also to Mrs Pugh and the Arts Committee for running the hairspray stall. The hairstyles and looks were absolutely crazy!

We are incredibly grateful to all of our Pullenvale staff and families who supported our students to make the disco such a success. From Karen, our amazing cleaner who is always there for us, to our teachers who supervised, supported and even joined in with the dancing; to Alby’s mum for cooking the popcorn (and going back for more!); Harvey’s mum for supporting us with P&C equipment; and Mrs Sherwood for calmly solving all the little speed bumps along the way.

It truly was a team effort, and what a team we have! Thank you to everyone who helped make it a night our students will remember.

GALA DAY > NETBALL

Our six netball teams competed at a Gala Day, playing teams from Kenmore South and Brookfield State Schools. All teams played exceptionally well and demonstrated just how much they have grown and developed their skills since the first Gala Day in Term 1. It was fantastic to see their teamwork, confidence and determination on display throughout the day.

Two teams competed in the competitive competition, with some fantastic results. Our Year 6 Team 1 finished runners-up, narrowly losing the final to a strong Kenmore South team. Year 5 Team 1 finished the day undefeated — an outstanding achievement!

Teams chose their own players of the day and celebrated with their peers.

Our Senior Graduation Committee have been busy fundraising for our upcoming graduation celebrations.

SYLVESTER TAKES OUT THE WIN!

A huge congratulations to Sylvester from Year 1 who won the interschool chess tournament yesterday. What an achievement. Sylvester brought his trophy in to class today to show his classmates.

FROM PULLENVALE'S TOUCH ACADEMY TO STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

What an incredible 4 days of touch for our students Sophie and Maya! They played 12 games against all state regions with 11 wins. The team lost to South Coast in the Grand Final, finishing 2nd overall in QLD. Congratulations, what an amazing achievement!

A special acknowledgement also to past PSS student Annie who was selected in the QLD Team from this event.

CRAZY SOCK DAY > SENIOR GRADUATION FUNDRAISER

Thanks to everyone who got on board today, showing their support for our senior graduation by wearing CRAZY socks! Our school is full of colour today, with some truly crazy, fun socks on display.

JUNIOR CROSS COUNTRY

Today our junior school ran, jumped and weaved their hearts out at our Junior Cross Country, with a little help from our Year 6 students, who did a fantastic job of showing our runners the way around the course, cheering on and handing out values wrist bands. Well done to all who took part. It was a perfect, blue-skied day for it ☀️

FROM PULLENVALE TOUCH ACADEMY TO THE STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS!

A huge congratulations to our current students, Sophie and Maya, and our past students, Annie, Maddy and Josh, who are all currently competing at the Touch Football State Championships in Bundaberg!

Reaching this level is an outstanding achievement and a wonderful reward for their hard work and dedication. All five students were members of our Pullenvale Touch Football Academy for multiple years, and we are incredibly proud to have played a part in their touch football journeys.

We wish them all the very best throughout the tournament. The entire Pullenvale community is cheering them on!
