Supporting Our Beloved Cassie 💛

We’d like to share some news about one of our much-loved educators, Cassie.

Cassie has been an incredible part of the Bright Future Early Education Centre Springwood team for the past 6.5 years. She is warm, nurturing, and deeply committed to the children and families she works with each day.

Recently, Cassie received the heartbreaking diagnosis of a rare blood cancer and is now undergoing intensive treatment. During this incredibly difficult time, we are coming together as a community to support Cassie and her beautiful family in every way we can.

With a cyclone on the way, it's important to be prepared—but we know big storms can feel a little scary for our little ones. That’s where Birdie and the Cyclone comes in! 🐦💨

📖 This wonderful story from Children’s Health Queensland helps children understand cyclones in a safe and reassuring way. It’s a great way to start conversations about storms, safety, and feelings.

💡 Here are some fun ways to prepare together:
✔️ Make a “storm kit” – Let your child help pack torches, snacks, and their favourite teddy 🧸
✔️ Create a “storm sounds” game – Make wind noises together and talk about how rain sounds on the roof 🌧️
