Come along to our Wednesday Project Nights and work on the Power Project!

This project is a scale model of the big power grid system from generation to consumption stage. It is a fun way to learn how our grid system works while also learning how to use digital electronics to model simulated electricity transmission. You get to learn knowledge and skills about power systems, digital electronics, and 3D Modelling! While being apart of this project, you also can make new friends and have some fun!

You can come along to either showcase a project in the Symposium floor, or you can participate in a lab tour, industry talks, and a hackathon in the breakout room!

📣 UNDERGRADUATE ENGINEERING SYMPOSIUM

QUT EESS and QUTRC are back again with the Undergraduate Engineering Symposium (U.E.S)!

Come along to showcase a project that you have worked on, whether that is a personal project or a club project such as the EESS Power Project or the Robotics Rover!

Tickets will be released soon for this event so stay tuned for that! Your ticket will cover catering for the day, and you can get a stall to showcase your project as well. Stay tuned for more details regarding this event.

📣 ANOTHER NEW EESS PROJECT: Educational NanoGrid (EduNano)

Hello all!

Alongside the Solar Battery Car (SBC), we have launched another project at EESS as well, which is EduNano!

This project is a comprehension of the QUT Microgrid where you can learn how to design your own ELV loads and 3 phase meters. Anyone is able to join and this project assists with your learning for the power units!

📣 NEW EESS PROJECT: Solar Battery Car (SBC)

We have launched a new project at EESS, which is the Solar Battery Car (Or SBC for short).

SBC is a project lead by Luke and Peter where you get to create our own electric vehicle that can be either wirelessly or manually controlled.

You get to create a solar panel charging system to power the car, as well as vehicle and remote control systems to control the car.

Come along to have a lot of fun, make new friends, and get the opportunity to connect with industry and work in subsystems such as renewable power, electromechanical integration, as well as Telecomms + RF!
