The Wonderful Land of Oz endeavors through its pop-up screenings to contribute to the education within the viewing public of the high caliber of film produced by Australia's. It is a hope that over time these screenings will become a platform for new emerging filmmakers as well as old 'classics' to have their opportunity to be screened to an ever expanding number of people from all over Australia & the world.

Now in its 38th year, the St Kilda Film Festival is Australia’s longest-running short film festival. Some great shorts to be seen online via their website if it's too much of a struggle to get south side during these trying time, you can also vote for your best short too.

Now The Wonderful Land of Oz is not one for wild speculation however we have recently discovered that the first Wastelander event of it's types based on the dystopian works of George Miller's Mad Max just happened to be hosting their first convergence at the same time as Miller's new Mad Max 5 : Wasteland goes into pre-production in Australia.
When we recently interviewed the promotors of this event on this coincident their only reply was 'lol' as an assurance that it will be a fun filled long weekend of crazy people with crazy cars with the occasional Oz film thrown in for good measure. ❤🤘❤
