๐ Educators in the Spotlight Series! ๐
At our centre, one of the greatest things about being small is the big connections we share. Our families know our team, and our team knows your families! โค๏ธ
While drop-offs and pick-ups offer just a glimpse of our amazing educators in action, the real magic happens throughout the day. Thanks to our recent visit from a professional childcare photographer, weโre thrilled to launch a new series that shines a light on the heart of our centre - our passionate, experienced educators!
Each post will introduce you to a familiar face, someone who brings warmth, creativity, and care to your childโs day. You know their names, now see their impact! โจ
Stay tuned as we celebrate the wonderful people who make our centre feel like a second home. ๐ก

๐๐ The Junior Toddler Room is diving into an exciting "Life Under the Sea" theme! ๐ Through hands-on exploration, the little ones are developing important skills like language, scientific curiosity, fine motor abilities, and colour recognitionโall while learning about the wonders of the ocean. ๐๐ฆ From creative crafts to underwater adventures, every activity sparks curiosity and helps them grow! ๐ These are examples of provocations which educators use as an open-ended resource, either materials or a particular object, that can create a context for children to explore their ideas, either independently or with friends

March weather has not been great ๐ We have managed to make the most of it outdoors when we have been getting out though! This month we celebrated:
-Holi Colour Festival
-Our HPE classes focus on football skills with the seasons starting as well as learning to skip
-Some of us just decided to have fun in puddles after a heavy downpour ๐

Hello Families. We are excited to let you know we now have power back on! We have everything ready and our centre will be reopening in the morning (Wednesday 12th March). We hope those of you still without power are managing ok and if you need to please feel free to bring a charger to charge your phones in the morning or let us know if you need anything. We do have a small community kitchen cabinet where food products can be shared with those who need it (feel free to bring items to give or take what you need).
Big thank you to staff who helped pack everything away for the cyclone and unpack again ready for tomorrow. Also a big thank you to the legends from who came to collect our green waste today. See you all tomorrow ๐

Hi Families,
We hope for those of you still without power you are managing as best you can (that is also for our staff in the area who are without power).
Our centre is still without power currently and after several phone calls today we are still no clearer on when we will have power restored. The centre has no damage but we will unfortunately have to remain closed until we have power restored. If anyone in our local community has any further information please feel free to reach out. Again we appreciate your understanding during this difficult time.

Hello Everyone. We sincerely apologise but we will have to keep the centre closed again tomorrow (Monday) due to the weather impacts. Our building is still without power with no clear guidance on when it will be restored, many of our staff are currently blocked off by flooded roads and we will need adequate time to get everything out of the building as well as completing safety checks. We appreciate your understanding given the current circumstances.
PS for anyone worried about the chickens, they are currently enjoying living indoors. Big thank you to Keeta's mum for looking after them.

As part of the Kindy Program we always like to ensure the children are not only becoming school ready but also becoming life ready. We spent this month focusing on handwriting skills, social skills, sustainability by composting + feeding the chickens, watering our vegetable garden, learning French, physical education class, cooking skills as well as learning about marine creatures. Looking forward to seeing what our Early Education Teachers have planned for March...๐
