💚 Our Cultural Journey 🌏💚

At Green Eggs, we have begun our Cultural Journey. Each week, we continue to create wonderful opportunities for our children to learn, connect and celebrate the diversity within our centre and wider community.

Each child has been given their very own Cultural Passport, which will be stamped at the end of each week as we journey through 10 different cultures represented within our families and community. These passports will become a special keepsake of the learning, connections and experiences we share along the way.

Our first week began by celebrating and learning about our local Indigenous community, the Yagara people, deepening the children’s understanding and respect for the Country, culture, language and stories that are part of the place we call home.

This week, our journey travelled to India, where we were so fortunate to be guided by Miss Manisha. Through her knowledge and experiences, the children had opportunities to explore and appreciate different aspects of Indian culture, traditions and language.

Our Cultural Journey is about more than learning about different cultures - it is about learning from one another and recognising the wonderful diversity that makes our community unique. 💚

And now… where will our Cultural Passport take us next? 🇰🇷✨

Next stop: SOUTH KOREA! We can’t wait to continue our journey of discovery together.

🌱🍓 Getting our gardens ready for spring! 🌸

Our little gardeners have been busy refreshing our outdoor spaces, carefully planting our new strawberry patch and admiring the beautiful flowers beginning to bloom. Through hands-on experiences like these, children develop a love for nature, learn to care for living things, and experience the joy of watching something grow.

At Green Eggs, we believe every child belongs, is valued, and grows alongside their community. Together, we're nurturing not only our gardens but also curiosity, responsibility, and a lifelong connection with the natural world.

Just a reminder that next Wednesday, 12th August, our centre will be closed for the Ekka Show Holiday.

Last week, our Kindy and Pre Kindy children had a fantastic time welcoming Hibiscus Leisure Centre for an engaging water safety session!

Through songs, dancing, stories and plenty of fun, the children learnt important water safety messages in a way that was meaningful, interactive and age-appropriate. Developing water safety awareness from an early age helps children build confidence around water, recognise safe behaviours, and establish lifelong habits that can help keep them safe.

We are so grateful for the strong community connections we have, which make valuable learning experiences like this possible. A big thank you to the wonderful team from Hibiscus Leisure Centre for sharing their knowledge and helping our children learn through play. 💙💦
