Since the opening of our Nursery room this year, Alyssa has played an incredible role in helping our youngest learners settle into their new environment. Her bubbly personality, warm smile, and caring nature have brought comfort and reassurance to both babies and families during this exciting transition.

We’re so grateful to the talented baker behind Sweet Tooth Haus for creating the most beautiful (and delicious!) treats - they’re always a highlight for our team.

This month we’re celebrating two of our wonderful educators, Miss Alyssa and Miss Caitlin! We hope you had a wonderful celebration 🥳

Ocean adventures came to life at Green Eggs as we welcomed Ocean Life Education for a hands-on marine discovery incursion! 🐚✨

Our children explored fascinating sea creatures using gentle hands and curious minds, learning all about sea stars, sea cucumbers, sea urchins, and even meeting a real freshwater turtle! The children used wonderful descriptive language to share their discoveries, describing creatures as “spiky,” “squishy,” “slimy,” “hard,” and “soft.”

We discovered so many amazing ocean facts:
⭐ Sea stars aren’t actually fish at all!
🦔 Sea urchins can flip themselves back over using their spikes.
🥒 Sea cucumbers help keep our oceans clean by eating sand from the ocean floor.
🎨 Many sea creatures use camouflage to stay safe.
👀 Sea cucumbers have light-sensitive spots that help them sense the world around them.

The children were fascinated to learn how incredible marine animals are and how important it is that we all do our part to care for our oceans. Ms Tina helped us understand how rubbish and plastic pollution can harm turtles and other sea creatures, reminding us that even small actions can make a big difference. 🌏💙

Experiences like these spark curiosity, encourage respect for our environment, and help children develop a deeper understanding of the world around them. Thank you, Ocean Life Education, for bringing the wonders of the ocean to us! 🌊🐠✨

🌱 Little hands, big impact! 🌱

Our children have been busy getting their hands dirty as they help prepare our garden beds for a new season of growth. First, they worked together to remove old weeds and plants, making space for something new. Today, they took on the important job of sifting and aerating the soil, learning all about how to care for the earth beneath their feet.

Through these hands-on experiences, the children are building an understanding of teamwork, responsibility, and where our food comes from. 🌿

Next step… topping up the gardens and planting our veggies! We can’t wait to watch them grow 💚
