Last weekend was joy-filled with our fab team together on Bribie Island for our 5th annual team retreat.

Huge thank you to each of you for saying goodbye to your family to be together and for sprinkling laughter throughout the weekend.

It was wonderful to share so many fun experiences together: a festa dinner celebration, each of us driving a hired boat, a sea view lunch, discovering more about ourselves and each other, planning our next 1 year goals based on First Door values, and feeling nourished.

Cheers to each of you and to our year ahead together!

Huge congratulations for this incredible achievement of the 5th Excellent rating at Bribie Island Community Kindergarten. 🎉🤩

Massive thanks from First Door and on behalf of everyone in the ECEC sector that gains inspiration from team BICKs exceptional philosophy, practices, environment, and leadership. 💚🌱

A special mention, big shout out and cheers to you Narelle, for consistently guiding your team to bring excellence into being, for leaning in to your community and for sharing the fabulous work you all do. 🎉🎉🎉💐

CONGRATULATIONS team BICK and community!

Team BICK are so very excited to be able to share that we have been awarded by ACECQA the Excellent rating for the 5th consecutive time.
The first and only ECEC Service in Australia to achieve this milestone.
There are so many people who help make BICK who it is and what it stands for and there are waaaaay too many to list individually. But, to summarise it’s our volunteers, our Intergen seniors and the oldies too. It’s the Bribie Island Community as a whole. It’s our colleagues near and far. It’s all those educators we have welcomed and opened our doors to, to share our program, practice, the environment and the BICK way. But most importantly it’s our jarjums and their families and the amazing irreplaceable, loyal and genuinely fully committed Team BICK that also includes our Management Committee……..so a MASSIVE and heartfelt thankyou to you all because without each and everyone of you this wouldn’t have been possible ❤️

We LOVE this guiding statement from Kindulili.

It’s a complete joy to be part of the professional learning journey of the team at Kindulili Early Learning, thanks to Kindy Uplift funding.

What does your team value as central to your community?

At Kindulili, the child’s voice is central to our community. 🌳 🩵 🌻

Children have true autonomy over their spaces, routines, and rituals - and as educators we capture their ideas and thinking. Through deep listening and intentional observation, we honour their ideas, agency, and sense of belonging. 👌
