🌱 Our Kindy Garden is Growing! 🪴
Our Kindy children have been busy exploring the wonderful world of plants! Over the past few weeks, they have been planting a variety of different plants and learning all about the life cycle of a plant—from a tiny seed to a growing, thriving plant.
Through this hands-on learning experience, the children are discovering what plants need to grow, including sunlight, water, and care. They are taking pride in watering their plants, observing the changes each day, and learning the importance of looking after living things.
These meaningful experiences encourage curiosity, responsibility, patience, and a love of nature while helping children develop a deeper understanding of the world around them.
We can't wait to watch our garden continue to grow alongside our little gardeners! 🌼🌿💚

Sometimes the simplest resources create the richest learning experiences! 🛞💛
Our toddlers have been having so much fun exploring tyre play, discovering all the different ways they can roll, stack, climb, balance and move the tyres. What may look like simple play is actually filled with valuable learning opportunities.
Through tyre play, children are developing their gross motor skills, balance, coordination and spatial awareness, while also strengthening their problem-solving skills, creativity and teamwork. It encourages them to take safe risks, build confidence and use their imaginations as they transform the tyres into obstacle courses, stepping stones, cars, tunnels and so much more!
At Sunrise Kids, we believe that open-ended resources inspire children to explore, create and learn at their own pace. It's amazing to see how one simple item can provide endless opportunities for fun, discovery and growth.

🌦️ Pre-Kindy Weather Explorers! ☁️💙
This week, our Pre-Kindy children have been learning all about the weather! Today, they enjoyed a fun and engaging science experience where they discovered how rain falls from the clouds.
Using fluffy cotton balls to represent clouds, blue-coloured water, and droppers, the children carefully squeezed water onto the cotton balls until they became full and the "rain" began to fall. 🌧️
This hands-on experience encouraged curiosity, supported early scientific thinking, and helped the children understand the water cycle in a fun and meaningful way. We loved watching their excitement as they explored, experimented, and learned together! 💙☁️

🧸💙 Pyjama Day Fun! 💙🧸
Today our educators and children came to kindy dressed in their favourite pyjamas to celebrate Pyjama Day! It was a wonderful day filled with laughter, comfy clothes, stories, games, and plenty of smiles.
Pyjama Day is a great opportunity to have fun while also raising awareness of the importance of helping children in foster care feel safe, supported, and loved.
Thank you to all of our wonderful families for joining in the fun and helping make today so special. We loved seeing everyone's cosy outfits! 💤📚💛

🐞🪲 pre Kindy's Bug & Insect Adventures! 🪱🌿
Our pre Kindy children have been busy exploring the fascinating world of bugs and insects! They have loved heading out into the garden to discover all kinds of tiny creatures, including caterpillars and worms, while learning about the important role they play in our environment.
Yesterday was extra special when Miss Kelly brought in some amazing visitors from her home—Spiny Leaf Stick Insects! The children were captivated as they carefully observed these incredible insects, asked thoughtful questions, and learned all about their unique features and how they camouflage in nature.
Hands-on experiences like these inspire curiosity, encourage a love of nature, and create meaningful learning opportunities. We can't wait to see what other exciting discoveries our little explorers make next! 🐛🍃💚

If your child does not usually attend on Thursdays, please see Kelly or Kim to make a booking for your child to come into the service and have their class photo taken. This will help ensure the day runs smoothly for all our children and families. 😊
