The University of Queensland is excited to be partnering with Speech Pathology Australia QLD Branch again this year for our Research and Sip Night on Wednesday 7th October 2026!

We have loved seeing universities across the state connecting with their communities through these events, and we're really pleased that it's our turn for the year.

Alongside presentations showcasing the work UQ Speech Pathology researchers are leading across the lifespan, we’re also bringing together a poster session highlighting research from our community. This will include completed projects and work currently in progress from researchers, Higher Degree Research students and clinical partners.

We’re looking forward to an evening of great conversations about how research is informing speech pathology practice, with plenty of time to connect over canapés and drinks! 🥨🥂

Hello alumni.

UQ is hosting a JustGiving page to help raise funds for an international aphasia awareness campaign. We would love your support.

You can also follow the campaign by joining the Speak Up for Aphasia page. https://www.facebook.com/share/1E6w4VACKM/?mibextid=wwXIfr

The Tavistock Trust for Aphasia have pledged $72,958 towards a global aphasia awareness campaign... if we can match their contribution, dollar for dollar. We need your help to match the momentum and make aphasia awareness a reality!
