Well, it’s no surprise my “term off” was anything but… though I have no regrets!
Working on this show was the most fun I’ve had in so long, the most fabulous cast and crew ever!
It is genuinely such a funny show that one person saw it five times and still laughed every time. So much fun.
Keep your eyes peeled as we may bring this one back!

Students spend the session creating choreography, learning routines, developing scenes, blocking and staging performances, choosing music, working on character and rehearsing pieces together.

They get to be both the performer AND the creator — making decisions about what goes on stage, not just following instructions.

Where are my Hamilton stans?!

Term 4 we’re diving into Hamilton & The American Revolution— using the musical as our way into the real history, people, politics, scandals and absolute chaos behind the story.

We’ll be looking at:

* What actually happened vs what Hamilton changed
* The real Hamilton, Burr, Washington, Jefferson, the Schuyler sisters and more
* How the American Revolution actually unfolded
* Lyrics, songs and all those clever historical references you might have missed
* The scandals, rivalries, politics and VERY messy personal lives behind the musical
* Why certain people and events were left out or changed
* How Lin-Manuel Miranda turned hundreds of years of history into a musical
* Plenty of trivia, discussion and opportunities to completely nerd out over the show

Ages 11+ - there’s no upper age limit! If you’re an older teen or an adult Hamilton/history nerd who would happily spend an hour discussing whether Hamilton really threw away his shot, you are absolutely welcome too.

THURSDAY PERFORMING ARTS — PACIFIC PINES

If you’ve got a theatre kid who wants somewhere to act, create, make some friends and increase their self-confidence, this is for them.

Thursdays combine Drama & Acting + Creators & Choreographers into one 2.5-hour session.

Creators & Choreographers is where students get to take the creative lead, if they want to.
They’ll:

* Develop their own ideas
* Create routines and choreography
* Explore music and movement
* Work independently and collaborate
* Learn how to structure and develop a routine
* Build confidence making their own creative choices
* Have opportunities to perform and share what they create

It’s designed for kids who love theatre but want more than simply being handed a script or taught someone else’s choreography. They get to perform AND create.
