It is with great regret that I need to announce the postponement of this week’s showcase ARTHOUSE.
I appreciate everyone’s patience while I recover. Thank you for your kindness, understanding and support during this time.
Due to extreme illness, I am unfortunately unable to proceed with the event as planned. This was not a decision made lightly, and I know how much our students, families and supporters were looking forward to celebrating all of their hard work.
The showcase will be rescheduled, and new dates will be announced as soon as possible.
All tickets purchased will remain valid for the rescheduled performance. If you are unable to attend the new date, refunds are available through your ticketing confirmation email.
I sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your continued support of our students and our community. We look forward to bringing you the showcase very soon.

Team work makes the dream work… and for a great lunch.
As well as teaching drama, theatre and acting skills to kids that love it, we focus on connection and inclusivity in our group, making friendships and bonding over our love of all things theatrical!
If your kid is a theatre kid, let me tell you (as a theatre kid), there’s no other friends like drama friends ✨

As I was putting together this infographic, I realised that what makes Curtain Call different isn’t really our productions, our curriculum or even the drama itself- it’s the way we approach our students.
I’ve always believed that children should have a voice. I want my students to contribute ideas, ask questions, offer suggestions and feel like they are genuinely part of the creative process. Some of the best ideas in our classes have come from the students themselves.
I also don’t believe creativity looks the same in every child. Some students love performing centre stage, while others are incredible storytellers, problem-solvers, character creators or idea generators. I think it’s important that children are given the opportunity to discover and embrace their own style of creativity rather than feeling like there’s only one “right” way to do drama.
One of the things I’m most proud of is the culture we’ve built within our classes. We listen to each other. We encourage each other. We celebrate each other’s successes. Students learn to work as a team, respect different ideas and contribute to something bigger than themselves.
When we’re creating showcases and performances, I work hard to ensure every child has opportunities to participate and shine. Every student brings something valuable to the group, and I want them to know that.
At the end of the day, yes, I teach drama. But I also helping young people build confidence, find their voice, develop friendships and discover what they’re capable of.
And that’s why I love what I do. 💜

🎭 More Than Acting. More Than Performance.
When most people think of drama, they think of stages, costumes and spotlights, forgetting what happens behind the scenes, before the big show.
Drama teaches children how to speak with confidence, think creatively, solve problems, work as part of a team and step outside their comfort zone. It helps them develop the skills to present ideas, communicate effectively, adapt to challenges and believe in themselves.
Through performance, storytelling, improvisation and character work, students learn skills that support success not only in theatre, but in school, future careers and everyday life.
At Curtain Call Performance School, we’re passionate about helping young people grow into confident, capable and creative individuals while having fun, making friends and discovering what they’re truly capable of.
