Congratulations to Martin Lloyd (OC1979), who has recently received a Silver Medal from the Royal Humane Society of Australasia in recognition of his courageous actions in rescuing a woman from floodwaters at MP Creek near Wondai in March 2022.

This honour follows Martin being commended for brave conduct in September 2025, with both awards presented at Government House.

We are proud to celebrate Martin's selfless act and this well-deserved recognition. Congratulations, Martin, on an extraordinary achievement that reflects the very best of our Old Collegian community. 👏

A huge congratulations to BBC Old Boy Elliott Apel (OC 2014), who has been named the 2026 Agricultural Shows Australia National Rural Ambassador.

We shared Elliott’s story recently as he prepared to represent Queensland on the national stage, and we couldn’t be prouder to see this country Old Boy come away with the national title. Congratulations Elliott!
