Our Year 3 students enjoyed an immersive learning experience at Ngutana-Lui as part of our HASS unit, Living on Country.

Students explored First Nations ways of life through traditional painting, learning about bush medicines, and taking part in an emu hunt.

It was a wonderful opportunity to deepen our understanding of the strong connection Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples have with Country, culture and community.

PET EXPO

Our Year 1 students have been busy learning about the art of persuasion! Last week they held a Pet Expo and tried to persuade other students and the Leadership Team to buy their favourite pet! 📝

What were their favourite pets you ask? Of course there were cats and dogs, but also crocodiles, frogs, rabbits, a blue tongue lizard and even an axolotl.🐊🦎🐇🐸🐈

🚨A warning to Year 1 parents - you might find yourself buying a new pet as their writing and drawings were VERY persuasive! 🤔

Week 6 is here and it is sure to bring much cheer!

Our students are counting down the final days before they step onto the QCMF (Qld Catholic Schools and Colleges Music Festival) stage!

Some very happy memories of our final day at Year 4 camp.😍

Throughout the three days, students were challenged to be encouragers, show humility, be supportive teammates, be respectful members of their community and be generous with their time and kindness. We saw these qualities on display time and again as students cheered each other on through challenges, included others in games and conversations, helped friends who were feeling nervous and celebrated one another’s successes. We were incredibly proud of the way they cared for each other and embraced these values throughout camp.❤️💙

A big thank you to Mrs Robertiello, Mrs McGregor-Lowndes, Mr McKeown, Mr McGraw, Mrs Turner, Mrs Robinson, Mr Fogarty and Ms Ross for their support and care of the students at camp. 🙏

From canoeing to the flying fox, the giant swing to bush skills and archery to team games, it’s been another awesome day at Year 4 camp. 🛶 🏹

Our students have taken risks, challenged themselves, encouraged each other and learnt how to manage fears. 🌟

We are so proud of everyone for putting in their best effort and giving everything a go!👏

Our first night was spent around the camp fire where we listened to jokes, riddles and sang as one.🔥🪵
