State of Origin fever has arrived at Goodstart Wishart! 💙❤️

Today, the children got into the State of Origin spirit by taking part in our Blue and Maroon themed arts and craft tables. It was wonderful to see their excitement as they proudly chose which team they were cheering for!

National reconciliation week, today the children were enthusiastic and deeply engaged as they explored Aboriginal symbols. They used their imagination to interpret and draw the symbols, learning that each shape carries meaning and connects to stories, Country, and culture. This experience supported their understanding of Indigenous histories and encouraged respect for the world’s oldest living cultures.

She has helped shape confident learners, supported families through milestones big and small, and created a safe, caring environment where children can grow and thrive.

Tina’s commitment to childcare is more than a career—it’s a lifelong passion that shines through in everything she does each day. The impact she has made over 20 years lives on in every child she has taught, every family she has supported, and every colleague she has inspired along the way.

This week in our Nursery room we are recognising Reconciliation Week as a time to learn, reflect and celebrate the rich histories, cultures and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Through meaningful experiences, stories, music and sensory play, our youngest learners are beginning their journey of developing respect, belonging and connection to Country and community. Even our littlest learners can begin building understanding through relationships, kindness and shared experiences.
