Today, during our excursion for the Transition to Prep lesson, the children learnt the Schoolโ€™s Acknowledgement to Country. They then enjoyed listening to the very funny story Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons before creating their very own person dressed in a school uniform.
The children carefully followed Miss Maryโ€™s five steps and were incredibly proud of their finished creations. On our way back to the bus, we spotted the water bubblers and everyone was excited to have a turn using them.

We all had a wonderful time visiting Algester State School.

What a fantastic day our Kindergarten children had at Stretton Under 8โ€™s Day ๐ŸŒŸ

The children enjoyed a fun-filled morning exploring a range of creative and hands-on activities. From face painting and spray painting to threading pasta necklaces, making crowns, dancing, loose parts play, and creating pet rocks. There was something exciting around every corner. ๐ŸŽจ๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿชจโœจ

Today we celebrated Motherโ€™s Day with a beautiful afternoon filled with love, laughter and special moments shared with our families.

The children enjoyed painting portraits, creating bracelets, painting nails and participating in a range of meaningful experiences alongside their loved ones. It was a wonderful celebration of the important people in our childrenโ€™s lives and the memories made together will be treasured for years to come. ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’•

Today our children enjoyed a hands-on learning experience with Mr David, exploring our native bees and their hives. ๐Ÿ

The children helped to carefully open the hives, getting a close-up look inside while learning how these incredible little workers collect pollen and turn it into honey. Tasting the honey was a highlight and very yummy.

We also learnt about the important role native bees play in our environment and why they are so important to our world.

Today, Avenues Parkinson proudly marched in the 2026 Calamvale ANZAC Day Service.

A heartfelt thank you to all of our families and children who braved the wet weather to pay their respects. The wreaths laid today were handmade by the children at the centre, making the tribute even more special.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them โค๏ธ

Today we came together as a community for our Anzac Day Ceremony, taking time to reflect, remember and honour the bravery and sacrifice of those who have served.
Each class lovingly handcrafted their own wreath throughout the week, which they proudly laid during the ceremony. Children also placed beautiful crafted poppy flowers in the garden as a symbol of remembrance.
We also created a special remembrance table displaying photos of family members who have served, allowing us to honour personal connections and stories shared within our community.
It was a meaningful morning of respect, reflection and learning as we remembered the spirit of Anzac.
Lest We Forget โค๏ธ
