☀️ Holidays start on Friday afternoon at 3.00pm! 🎉

🌟 YEAR 3 🌟

☀️ In science, 3A have been investigating shadows and the spinning Earth.
🐈 In Art they have been creating Laurel Birch style cats.

🎨 PREP A - ART WORK 🎨
Prep A have been creating magnificent portraits! Don’t you love their crazy hair? 💥

🌽 FARM DAY IN PREP 🌽
🐮 Our Prep students have been learning about information texts this term through the topic of farms and farm animals.
🐴 To celebrate their learning, they dressed up as farmers and made horses! So much fun in Prep at Albany Creek State School!

🏀 GALA DAY 🏀

⭐️ Gala Gay has been cancelled due to the wet conditions of the sporting fields.

⭐️ Notes will go home at the start of term 3 in regard to refunds.

💫 CREATIVE GENERATION 💫

⭐️ Less than a month till Show Week the Creative Generation team from Albany Creek SS are busy attending rehearsals along with students from other schools.

⭐️ Last Saturday they were at Kedron SHS from 9-1pm. We are so excited to see them perform!

(Lilly and Abigail also attended but are not in the photo. 😊)

All money raised will be donated to a charity, which our Year 5 students will decide in Term 3

🕒 Each class will receive a timetable prior to the event so everyone gets a chance to join in the fun.

📚✨ Connecting with Our Future Students! ✨📚

📚 Ms Helm has been visiting local daycare and kindergarten centres to read stories and meet some of the future students who will be joining Albany Creek State School.

📚 The children have thoroughly enjoyed these visits, sharing stories, asking questions, and getting to know our school community. It has been wonderful to see their excitement as they begin their journey towards Prep.

📚 We are proud to provide these opportunities to connect with local families and support a positive transition to school. We look forward to welcoming these future Albany Creek State School students in the years ahead!

📚 LIBRARY EVENTS 📚
👏 Congratulations to our year 6 students who presented the National Simultaneous Story-Time at assembly. You did a wonderful job.
👏 Congratulations also to the first recipients of books from the ‘lucky book draw’ for the Premier’s Reading Challenge.

🏃 HIGH JUMP 🏃
Last week students in year 3- 6 have continued their preparations for the senior sports days in week 10 practising the high jump. It was great to see so many good jumpers and even better hearing their classes cheer on others aiming to get over some higher attempts.
