Miss Allens from Eaton's Primary School visited our Kindy room to lead a literacy and music session. The children initially listened to a new song and were actively participating and singing along by the end of the activity. Miss Allens then read Where Is the Green Sheep? engaging the children as helpers to find the missing sheep.
Following the story, the children participated in a drawing and writing activity. They were asked to complete the sentence stem: "Here is the ___________ sheep." The children used their imaginations to design their sheep and fill in the blank.

Today we continued with our Dental Week learning by talking about our daily teeth brushing routine. During group time, we asked the children, βWho brushed their teeth this morning?β and βWho brushes their teeth before bed?β The children loved sharing their experiences, and we also talked about healthy foods that help keep our teeth clean, healthy and strong.
For our planned activity, we borrowed the giant teeth model from Kindy. One at a time, the children used the toothbrush to show us how they brush their teeth. They carefully brushed the front, back and top of the teeth while talking about keeping the βgermsβ away. The children were very engaged and enjoyed pretending to be dentists!
