Cottage Academy Clontarf started their Japanese journey with Konnichiwa Kids Club today! We enjoyed learning about Hina Matsuri and dressing in kimono. See you on Mondays!

I’m so excited to be teaming up with Dr Kellie Swan from Little Swan Psychology to bring a brand-new Holiday LEGO Club to Coopers Plains!
This low-pressure, super-fun program is all about helping kids build confidence, communication skills, and friendships — one brick at a time. Each session, children work together on creative LEGO challenges that encourage teamwork, problem-solving and cooperation… all while simply having a great time.
Even though many families know me as G*i Sensei from Konnichiwa Kids Club, this program is not a Japanese activity— just a playful, supportive holiday space where kids can connect, experiment and grow.
Dr Kellie brings deep expertise in child development, emotion-regulation and neurodiversity, and I bring my passion for child-centred learning and fun. Together we’ve created a warm environment where every child feels heard, valued, and excited to contribute.
If your child is between 5 and 12, a seasoned LEGO master or a total beginner, we’d love to welcome them.

Ah! This is so cool! Ninja Steal Assignment Writing!!!!!

In 2019, a Japanese college student named Eimi Haga submitted what appeared to be a blank piece of paper for her ninja history essay. Her professor heated the paper - revealing a perfectly written essay about her visit to the Iga-ryū Ninja Museum. 🔥 📜

The 19-year-old had mastered aburidashi, an ancient ninja technique using crushed soybeans as invisible ink. After soaking the beans overnight, she carefully wrote her essay on traditional Japanese paper called washi. She included a note in regular ink telling the professor to heat the paper.

Professor Yuji Yamada was so impressed with her creative use of authentic ninja methods that he awarded her an A grade. He even preserved part of the paper unheated to document this unprecedented blend of historical technique and modern academics.

The story captured international attention as an example of how ancient ninja wisdom found new life in an unexpected place - a university classroom in modern Japan. 🏯 📚
