Mansfield state school under 8's day

Last Friday our kindergarten children got invited to spend the day exploring Mansfield state schools under 8's day. This was a great opportunity for the children to explore a school environment before beginning their own schooling journey.

Our Bush Kindy Adventure Today! 🌻

Using loose parts, our educators created a slide to use at bush kindy. This assists the children in developing their risk assessing skills, resilience, balance and coordination.

We are seeking an Early Childhood Leader to support our team in the inclusion space. About the role:
* 4-5 days per week
* Above ratio position
* Work closely with children that require additional support
* Hold family meetings
* Create and maintain support plans
* Work closely with Inclusion Support QLD
* Train and support eductors

Donating to our community 👫

Last week some of our kindy children visited mgcci to drop off some donations. We were lucky enough to explore their gardens and see the process of creating care boxes for people in need.

Our families donated lots of resources for zigzagsupportcentre and our kindy children assisted us in dropping the donations off!
This assisted the children in developing awareness of our community and learning ways to support people in need.

Last night we had Erin Edwards, a play therapist, come to the service to present a training for our educators. We learnt how to support children's emotional regulation and expression through play- based interactions.

It was a privilege to receive an invitation to the 2026 Bravehearts Ball, where Perfect Beginnings joined individuals from across the nation to collectively raise funds, increase awareness, and advocate for children who have endured sexual abuse.

What can we find at our bush kindy site? 🌿🐛

Our philosophy highlights the importance of children learning in nature. Through our weekly bush kindy sessions, our educators learn along side the children whilst researching the environment around us.

The Child Safe Organisations system is about child safeguarding – the actions people and organisations take to protect children from all kinds of harm.
The system comprises two elements that work together to keep children safe:
• Child Safe Standards to be met by all organisations providing services or spaces specifically for children
• a Reportable Conduct Scheme for certain organisations.
At Perfect Beginnings we have conducted full reviews of policies and procedures to align with the Child Safe Standards and to meet the requirements of a Child Safe Organisation. This includes using the tools by the Queensland Family & Child Commission such as the Guidelines and the Self-Reflection Tool.
