Our children created beautiful artwork inspired by different Dreamtime stories, bringing ancient Aboriginal narratives to life. This connects to the EYLF by building cultural awareness and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, while encouraging creative expression and connections to country (Outcomes 1 & 2). We honor the Traditional Custodians of the land and pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging 🙏 Come celebrate our young artists!
Today the children enjoyed a wonderful storytime experience with educators using the felt board, which sparked their imagination and supported language development. They then engaged in imaginative play as they worked together to “save the house” and put out the fires. What a fun way to build teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills through play! 🔥🚒
At The Grove Early Learning, our team has come together to create our own shared commitment to child safety. Each educator reflected on what child safety means to them and contributed their personal pledge, highlighting the importance of creating a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment for every child.
This collective commitment strengthens our culture of care and ensures every child feels seen, heard, and protected.
At The Grove Early Learning, our children from Nursery through to Kindy have each added their own special touch to our “Sea of Hearts” this National Reconciliation Week.
This shared creation represents unity, respect, and the many voices coming together as one. The Sea of Hearts reminds us of the importance of connection, understanding, and walking together in reconciliation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Through experiences like this, our children begin to learn the value of kindness, inclusion, and respect for all.

We had a wonderful visit from Big Sis (Jess) who spent time with our children and educators sharing her cultural knowledge and experiences. It was a meaningful opportunity for everyone to learn more about First Nations perspectives in an engaging and respectful way.
Through this educational experience, we yarned about First Nations history, explored artefacts, and deepened our understanding of connection to land and the environment. The children loved singing and dancing along to songs created by Aunty Sharron, while discovering the richness and uniqueness of First Nations music, dance, and ochre.

Our Kindy children have been having a wonderful time exploring rainwater through hands-on play and discovery. It’s been beautiful to watch their curiosity, teamwork, and creativity come to life as they experiment, problem-solve, and make meaningful connections with the world around them. Look at how much fun they have ☔💧💦
Panda Day in Kindy 🐼🎍
Our Kindy friends have been learning all about pandas and their habitats. Using playdough and bamboo, they created a cozy little house for their panda to rest in. It was a fun hands-on experience that encouraged creativity, imagination, and learning through play.
