πŸ“šβœ¨ **The More You Read, The More You Know**

β€œThe more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” β€” Dr. Seuss

There is so much magic in sharing a story. ❀️

A book can take us on an adventure, introduce us to new ideas, spark our imaginations and help us see the world through different eyes.

For our children, reading is about so much more than the words on the page. It’s the cosy moments together, the laughter, the questions, the wonder and the stories we create along the way.

We love seeing our educators share their love of books and storytelling with our children each day. πŸ“–βœ¨

Because sometimes, all it takes is a good book to open the door to a whole new world. 🌿

Yesterday, we had some very special visitors at our centre! πŸπŸ’›

We had Mr Hayes, Mrs Payne, Sieanna, Camilla & Hollie from St Ambrose's School come along to help us celebrate World Bee Day.

Did you know that we have Native Stingless Bees here at The Grove, which were gifted to us by St Ambrose? 🐝🌿

The children took part in some wonderful bee-themed craft experiences, where they got to paint and colour their own bees, find the bees in the St Ambrose β€œWelcome to Prep” book, learn all about bees, share their own knowledge and so much more!

It was such a special day of learning, creativity and celebrating these very important little creatures. πŸπŸ’›πŸŒΌ

A big thank you to our special visitors for coming along and sharing your knowledge with us β€” it was certainly a bee-utiful day! πŸπŸ’›

β˜ƒοΈ **Throwing Snowballs!** ❄️

Our Senior Toddlers had so much fun exploring our snowy **snowball experience!** We prepared blue paper on the wall and invited the children to throw β€œsnowballs” covered in white paint, creating wonderful splashes and marks that looked just like falling snow.

The children were excited to experiment with throwing, movement and cause and effect, while working together to create their snowy artwork. We loved watching their excitement as their wintery masterpiece came to life! β„οΈβ˜ƒοΈ

🌎✈️ WHERE TO NEXT, KINDY?

Our Kindy explorers had a big decision to make, which country should we explore next? 🌍 And the winner was… ARGENTINA! πŸŽ‰

First, we put on our thinking caps and guessed how many hours it would take to fly there βœˆοΈπŸ€” before watching a quick educational video and discovering some fun facts about Argentina!

Where will our learning adventure take us next? 🌎✨

Messy play, big learning! πŸŽ¨πŸ’§

Our toddlers explored coloured water and cotton balls in a sensory tray. As they squeezed, poured and mixed, they were learning about colour changes, cause-and-effect and early science concepts, while strengthening fine motor skills and practicing turn-taking with peers.

These rich, hands-on experiences help children build curiosity, confidence and a love of learning through play.

Little explorers at work! πŸš›πŸ‘§πŸ§’

Our senior toddlers are so lucky to have a big picture window, giving them a safe front-row seat to the world outside. Watching the street helps them notice patterns, ask questions and connect real-life experiences to their play.

Today at The Grove Early Learning we proudly joined in Jeans for Genes Day. Our children and educators wore their favourite jeans to help raise awareness and vital funds for genetic research.

By taking part in this important cause, we’re teaching our children about kindness, community, and helping others. Thank you to our families for your support and for standing with us to make a difference for children and families affected by genetic conditions.

Today our Pre-Kindy and Kindy children explored chemical reactions by making their own bubbling lava with bicarb soda and vinegar. They had so much fun watching the mixture fizz and overflow, talking about what they could see, hear, and smell. Hands-on experiences like this build early science skills, curiosity, and confidence as children learn through play and discovery together.
