Hi There Happy Feet Families!

This week we celebrate our beautiful island home with a fun-filled journey through Australia’s amazing wildlife and rich culture! We hopped into our kangaroo costumes and got our hearts pumping with some bouncy kangaroo moves this is great for coordination and fitness. A joyful celebration of nature, movement, and tradition — all in one unforgettable adventure!

Please find attached EYLF & activity sheet for our AUSTRALIA class that your educators can use in their regular programming if they choose.

Congratulations to Nicole, our wonderful Kindy Teacher, on being named September's Staff Member of the Month!

Nicole was chosen for consistently going above and beyond with events and for the incredible energy and dedication she brings to the Kindy program. She builds wonderful connections with the children, creates meaningful interactions, and has a remarkable ability to support and facilitate each child's individual learning journey.

Today Lyndhurst hosted our September Room Leader meeting. One of the main points of discussion was the ongoing transitioning of children in lieu of preparing them for 2027… For some children this can be a challenging time so we do our best to mitigate the anxiety through gently introducing them of their rooms and educators for the following year. This process will continue throughout the year with each child given the opportunity to spend some time in their upcoming environment.

As with all of us in our work or home environments, sometimes we can feel overwhelmed or experience burnout to different degrees… We began our meeting with a short meditation on the value and importance of our learning environment and all who dwell in it…. Our children, our educators and our families….

We discussed how important it is to communicate and be open to communication if we are struggling a bit, either physically, mentally, emotionally or spiritually… Essentially we became educator because we care about children, their families and our educational team… It’s a long year and at times it can be challenging to maintain that energy that we had in January. So, as educators, we all need to be vigilant and supportive of each other so we can offer our families the best possible experience at Lyndhurst…. It’s OK to ask RUOK

We are excited to welcome the lovely Tracy from PottyTraining.com back to Lyndhurst! Tracy has been supporting Lyndhurst families for around 15 years, helping parents and carers confidently begin their toilet training journey with their little ones.

Tracy will be joining us at Lyndhurst on Wednesday 7 October at 6:00 pm.

All families are warmly invited to attend. Please RSVP by Friday 2 October.
