What happens in a Hush Little Baby music class?

Everyone will have heaps of fun! Our classes are child-centred, and characterised by FUN and JOY. Children are learning and growing through play and song.

What happens in a Hush Little Baby music class?

As part of their learning, children will explore tuned and untuned percussion. Through our classes we gradually introduce the children to a range of percussion instruments.

What happens in a Hush Little Baby music class?

There will be lots of learning (through play)! Children will explore musical concepts of pitch (high & low), dynamics (loud & soft), tempo (fast & slow), rhythm and beat as well as developing in-tune singing . Our classes are also designed to aid the development of cognition, language, fine & gross motor skills, social-emotional awareness AND confidence!

What happens in a Hush Little Baby class?

Our expert teachers will sing, dance and play with the children using purposefully selected, age-appropriate song materials. All of our music is performed LIVE and without backing tracks by our teachers, who are tertiary qualified singers.

We have been having a lovely time welcoming a number of new services into the Hush Little Baby family these past few weeks. Sara Jane and Jordie are thrilled to be making music with the children and educators at Plais Early Learning on Old Cleveland Road and Little Locals Bracken Ridge!

Slip music into your day-to-day routine by singing a song or saying a rhyme!
Nursery Rhymes are the perfect choice and some great opportunities are:

- during nappy changes/going to the toilet
- packing things away
- getting dressed
- waiting (in line for the checkout, at appointments etc)

"Bee bee bumblebee, can you sing your name to me?"

It's that wonderful time of the year when our teachers are meeting lots of new children and, with the help of our bumblebee friend, learning their names. We are passionate about forming genuine connections with the children in our classes - and this includes learning and using their names.
