What an absolute privilege it is to witness the magic that can happen when a child gets their Pyjama Angel. This is just a sneak peak.

Our volunteers are changing lives and we are so incredibly grateful to be a part of that story.

What a night! I was thrilled to attend the MYER Precious Metal Gala on Friday and share the work we do at The Pyjama Foundation to the room of 1,000+ guests. We have been the charity partner of this event for the past two years and it makes and incredible difference to our organisation.

It feels so special to be in a space with so many people who want to celebrate and give back to community groups across Australia. The funds raised at this event will change lives.

This , we’re challenging a common misconception: that children in out-of-home care (OOHC) are simply falling behind because they aren’t trying hard enough.

The reality is far more complex.

Many children in care have experienced trauma, instability and disrupted education. These are all barriers that can make learning harder, but do not define what they are capable of achieving.

We had the privilege of recognising a very special Pyjama Angel whose commitment to her Pyjama Child has extended far beyond the weekly hour they spend together.

For the past four years, Lou has brought consistency, encouragement and plenty of laughter alongside learning, creating countless opportunities for this fabulous young person to discover the world and herself.

Together, Lou and her Pyjama Child have adapted through changing circumstances, finding new ways to stay connected make wonderful memories together

Her commitment, flexibility, creativity and genuine joy in simply spending time together have made this a truly special connection.

For the second year, The Pyjama Foundation is honoured to be the beneficiary of this incredible event, thanks to the generosity of the Myer Community Fund.

For more than five years, our partnership with Myer Community Fund has grown from one store's fundraiser into a national partnership, rooted in the shared belief that every child deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Myer is supporting The Pyjama Foundation to help children and young people living in out-of-home care build confidence, connection and brighter futures through our Love of Learning Program.

We are incredibly grateful to Myer, the Myer Community Fund and everyone who has supported this partnership. Your belief in our work helps children in care dream bigger and achieve their goals. 💫

Ahead of NAIDOC Week, our team had the privilege of attending the Community Weaving Circle in Meanjin, hosted by Jenni Walke - Elephant in the Room Consulting 💙

It was a wonderful opportunity to slow down, connect, and learn through a hands-on cultural experience while celebrating the rich cultures, stories and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
