🌟 Bright Beginnings Talks: Parenting Insights Series 🌟 This week is Queensland Mental Health Week, so this month we're focusing on Supporting Children's Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing. Mental health isn't just an adult conversation. Children as young as two are already learning how to name feelings, manage frustration, and feel safe enough to ask for help—and the adults around them are their very first teachers in all of it.

Small things that support a child's emotional wellbeing every day:
✅ Naming feelings out loud, even the hard ones
✅ Predictable routines that help children feel safe
✅ Unhurried one-on-one time with a trusted adult
✅ Praise for effort, not just outcomes
✅ Educators and parents using the same language around feelings

Why it matters: Good mental health in the early years is built on loving relationships, play, and a safe environment—and it shapes how children cope with stress for life (Raising Children Network, 2025).
