Spooky men part two, some of us had the pleasure of attending a Spooky Men workshop, Stephen Tabener with the aid of some of his choir members took us through two songs. Saw many familiar faces from other choirs and it was such fun to learn two song. Nothing like singing up a storm on a cold winters night. 🎶🎶

Next catch up post; on May 28th some 19 choir members and some partners had a great night out with Spookyness. Great songs and antics by the Spooky Men's Choral. Some dined together first, which was lovely to be able to socialise outside of our regular Monday night
and it rounded out the evening beautifully. If your reading this and you have never seen Spooky Men, we fully recommend them.

Well, we have been busy in the past week and a bit, so watch out for a few posts. This one is about a lovely singing session we had with Anne Birmingham on Monday 25th May. Anne has supported our choir for many years and is always a joy to have in our singing space. We did a little gospel number Come Along My Friend, a German folk piece ( thankfully sung in English!) A Leunig quote set to music by the amazing Jacinta Foale. So beautiful 💛

Well we are well and truly back to singing in T2, revisiting some old songs so we keep them front of mind, like The River Is Wide and learning new ones, like a little African beauty Gbe bo wah :) We just love our Monday nights 🎶🎶 Plus we are getting ready for our annual weekend camp, all the fun. 🔥

So, last Monday was our last sing for Term one. But prior to this we had some lovely events. Some choir members enjoyed a great singing afternoon with Nicole Murray a very talented choir leader and musician, followed by a night with Imogen Wolf We were joined by members from other choirs, friends and family members totalling a harmonious 37 voices, singing three songs a fantastic night all round. 🎶🎶

What a great night last night. Fields of Gold is coming along so nicely that Sting himself would be so impressed!! So many lovely harmonies 🎶🎶 We welcomed more new faces which has been a real treat. A sing a cuppa and chat what more could you ask for on a Monday night

Even though I personally was not there last Monday from all reports it was a great night filled with singing and reconnecting after our break. We had a few new faces, whom I look forward to meeting this coming Monday. So for anyone still thinking about coming along, just because it's week two doesn't mean you can't come along. We welcome new members all year round. Remember first night is free. Let's keep singing 🎶🎶
