Our Year 10–12 Music students recently had an exciting opportunity to get into music production and composition tips and tricks in a workshop led by alumni, Cristian Mohamad Naranjo. The workshop offered practical production techniques and composing tips useful for students to implement into their composition assessment and help improve their compositional skills for future works. 🎶💙🎼

Pre-engineering is a new subject Indro is offering for Year 10. This term, the students have studied fluid mechanics, with a final project to design and construct a pump capable of lifting water to a height of 2 metres. A testing rig was set up outside the classroom to see how their prototype performed. 👷💙👷‍♀️

👏🏆👏 Terrific results for our Instrumental Music ensembles who participated in Fanfare last week! All ensembles were adjudicated in Secondary Division 1, the highest category.

Congratulations to:
Camerata Strings: Platinum (Directed by Alex Chin)
Symphony Orchestra: Gold (Directed by James Kukulies)
Wind Orchestra: Platinum (Directed by James Kukulies)

These results highlight the many months of hard work in rehearsals and individual practice sessions leading up to these performances, as well as the cumulative efforts and skill-building of these students over several years, all made possible through the guidance of their teachers and conductors. 🎵💙🎼

Four Indro Aspire Netball teams competed at the Met West Vicki Wilson Championship last Friday. All teams demonstrated excellent sportsmanship, attitude, and effort against extremely tough competition. It was great to see the improvement in all teams and the implementation of skills practised at training. Unfortunately, our teams didn’t secure any spots in the Finals Series, but we are super proud of their efforts! 👏💙🤗

SAVE-THE-DATE: The Subject Selection and Pathways Expo will be on Wednesday 29 July, from 3:00pm - 6:00pm. This is an excellent opportunity for students and parents/carers to gather valuable information about Indro’s diverse curriculum choices and gain insight into future pathways beyond school. The Expo offers students guidance regarding subject options to enable them to make informed choices for their 2027 timetable.

The event also provides guidance on tertiary pathways and study, apprenticeships, and employment options. There will be live presentations from our tertiary education partners, and our Heads of Department and Guidance Officers will be on hand to assist with questions about courses, prerequisites, and future pathways.
