Our friends from Narangba Aged Care spent the morning with the children at Sesame Lane Narangba - Cotton Tree Drive, and the joy was felt equally on both sides.

Playdough, puppet shows, painting and a science experiment brought smiles from little learners and their Senior visitors alike.

These intergenerational experiences help foster kindness, empathy, confidence, and a strong sense of community.

We are grateful for this growing partnership and look forward to more mornings like this one.

There is a lot families do not see before an excursion begins.
Before children step out of the centre, Sesame Lane educators check the route, prepare high-vis vests, complete roll call and walk children in pairs with educators positioned throughout the group.

Once children arrive, the team checks the roll again, explains the plan, sets clear safety boundaries, and conducts regular headcounts throughout the experience.

Outdoor learning should feel exciting for children and reassuring for families.

The annual butterfly program at Sesame Lane North Lakes - McLennan Court has begun and the team is thrilled to welcome them.

Over the coming weeks, children will watch tiny caterpillars transform into butterflies, right before their eyes.
It is hands-on science that builds curiosity, patience and a real appreciation for the natural world.

Once they emerge, the butterflies will move into their own enclosure, where children can continue to observe and care for them in a safe space.

A big thank you to Butterfly Kidz for helping bring this project to life.
We cannot wait to share every stage of this journey with families.

Somewhere along the way, childhood became louder, faster, and more overstimulating.

Children were given more toys, more technology, more entertainment…yet somehow less imagination

So we chose a different path.
Instead of filling our environments with toys, we filled
them with possibility.

When we stop filling spaces with plastic and start filling them with possibility.

✨Play becomes deeper
✨Stories become richer
✨ Childhood comes alive

Charlie's drop-off follows the same calm routine every single morning.
Georgia walks us through it: he gets set up at his own play station (something different each day), his bottles go away, and his bag gets unpacked before a quick, calm goodbye.

Before she leaves, she jots down feeding times or his nap schedule onto the communication whiteboard by the door: a small habit that keeps the whole team at Sesame Lane North Lakes - Discovery Drive on the same page.

That same steady routine happens every morning.

In Georgia's words: "They look after Charlie the same way I would, which is the best feeling."

The most treasured resources in our nursery were made right here at Sesame Lane Kippa Ring - Regency Street.
Our kindergarten children recently took on a very special project, designing and crafting ribbon sticks for our nursery babies.

Using curtain rings and beautiful fabrics sourced from a local charity textile shop, they carefully measured, cut, selected, and sewed each piece together with real purpose and pride.

These ribbon sticks now play a vital role in our nursery's RAMSR moments, supporting regulation, attachment, movement, sensory exploration, and relationships. 🫶

At the start of each year, Sara and the Kindergarten team at Sesame Lane Clontarf introduce the Colour Monster, a simple, powerful tool that helps children understand and express their feelings.

Each colour represents a different emotion. Each drawing is a child finding their voice.

It is how our educators help children settle in, feel secure, and build the emotional confidence that carries them all the way to prep and beyond.
