Leanne Hunter and Lisa Sonter are early childhood teachers with many years experience in a variety of early childhood settings.
They are both recipients of Community Merit Awards (National Excellence in Teaching Awards) for Leadership and Innovation in Early Childhood Teaching Methods. Leanne teaches and leads the team at Mitchelton Pre-Schooling Centre (MPC), Brisbane. Lisa recently retired from MPC, and now teaches ECEC students on line at the University of New England, Armidale. Leanne and Lisa believe that environments
in which children and adults interact and contribute to purposefully, respectfully and collaboratively support effective and vital learning dispositions for today and beyond. They offer practical strategies and information for supporting and extending meaningful play, exploration and inquiry through the development of inspiring, sustainable and empowering learning environments. They have been published in leading early childhood journals and have presented lectures and workshops to a variety of educators, undergraduate students and parent groups. Together they co-authored Progressing Play (2012) and Play in Progress (2003). Services include:
