This week we had The Koori Curriculum visit our service! How beautiful are these shots of our Children's House outdoor environment!

Our children have noticed that our yarning circle is looking a little tired and have proudly taken on the challenge of bringing it back to life in the lead up to NAIDOC Week. As part of their ongoing project, they will be sharing ideas, drawing plans, and discussing how they can create a welcoming space where stories, conversations, and connections can flourish.

With showers forecast this afternoon, we're helping families stay one step ahead with an emergency poncho keyring when you come in for a tour.

Have you had a chance to walk past our herb garden lately? It’s been thriving for over 10 years now, all thanks to the care of our little green thumbs.

Our rosemary bush, in particular, is looking absolutely incredible! We love seeing the children connect directly with the environment, taking our garden from the soil to the kitchens and activities within our centre.

Our herb garden is always hard at work, whether we’re using herbs for our smelling bottles or baking up fresh, rosemary-infused bread.

🌟 June Staff Meeting 🌟

This month, the team focused on a range of important topics, including room audits, setting professional development goals, reflecting on ways to strengthen positive interactions with children and reviewing our safe sleep audit practices.

We also collaborated on strategies to encourage staff to get up, move around, and develop safety awareness through engaging games and experiences.

It was a busy night filled with learning, collaboration, and of course, plenty of fun!

✨✍️It’s so incredible to see that "lightbulb moment" in our Cycle One classrooms when a child suddenly explodes into writing. ✍️✨

In our Kindy classrooms, we observe the hand as the tool of the mind in action as the children begin to explore writing. When we focus on that early sensory and motor preparation, it’s amazing what happens as the child realises they can actually make their thoughts visible on paper, often long before they’ve even begun reading.

It’s about so much more than just following lines - it’s muscle memory in action!
